BAHÇE is committed to ethical principles in scholarly publishing. The journal follows the principles and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the authorship criteria of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), the Declaration of Helsinki in matters of research ethics and, at national level, the Directive on Scientific Research and Publication Ethics of the Council of Higher Education of Türkiye.

Research Ethics

Types of study requiring ethics committee approval, obligations regarding permissions and declarations, the Ethics Statement to be included in the article, and the procedure followed where ethical misconduct is suspected.

Publication Ethics

Responsibilities of authors, editors and reviewers; authorship criteria; unethical conduct; the similarity check and its thresholds; conflict of interest; use of artificial intelligence tools; corrections and retractions; appeals and complaints.

Peer Review Process

The double-blind review system, the stages of evaluation, the requirement for reviewers from different institutions, the mandatory second round following major revision, additional reviewer opinion, target timelines and the route for appeals.
