KÜÇÜK RUMİNANTLARIN ENFEKSİYÖZ KERATOKONJUNKTİVİTİSİ

Abstract

dünyada evcil ve yabani koyun ve keçilerde konjunktiva ve korneanın etkilendiği yangılı, yaygın bulunan bulaşıcı bir göz hastalığı olarak tanımlanmıştır. Erken evrede, hastalığın görünümü unilateral veya bilateral konjunktivitis ile damarlarda hiperemi şeklindedir. Tedavi edilmeyen vakalarda mukopurulent konjunktivitis ve korneal ülserasyon sonucunda korneada opaklaşma ve geçici körlükle sonuçlanan ilerleme görülebilir. Evcil koyun ve keçilerde, hayvanların körlük süresini azaltmak amacıyla tedavi ve bakıcılık gerektiğinden çiftçiler için önemli bir problemdir. Salgınlarla ilgili birçok semptom genellikle; etken diğer sürülerden alınan enfekte hayvanların ari sürülere sokulduğu dönemde gözlenmiştir. Ölüm oranı % 30' lara ulaşabilir ve hayvan sayısında belirgin bir düşüşe sebep olabilir. Bununla birlikte ikiz doğum oranının düşmesi, gebelik toksemisi ve agalaksia prevalansının artması, açlığa bağlı kilo kaybı, kör anneler tarafından ezilen kuzular ve ekonomik geri dönüşün azalması gibi olumsuzlukların tümü, enfeksiyöz keratokonjunktivitisler ile ilişkilendirilebilecek önemli ekonomik kayıplardandır. Sunulan bu çalışmada; küçük ruminantların EKK' sı hakkında son literatürler ışığında bilgilerin derlenmesi ve meslektaşlarımıza sunulması amaçlandı.
