Importance of Artificial Intelligence in Nursing Education and Areas of Use of Artificial Intelligence

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to reveal the importance of artificial intelligence in nursing education and to explain the areas of use of artificial intelligence in nursing education. Artificial intelligence is defined as a simulation of human intelligence that can analyze shapes, patterns and images, analyze the results of experiences, offer different solutions to solve complex problems, understand different languages and perform various operations on sentences and words, and present an opinion by organizing different perspectives. The importance of artificial intelligence with these features in nursing education is increasing. This technology can help improve educational processes, increase the clinical skills of nurses and improve the quality of health care services. Artificial intelligence helps in the development of some roles and skills in nursing education. These are; artificial intelligence-based simulations that can improve students' clinical decision-making skills, data analysis and clinical decision support systems that support nurses in decision-making by analyzing patients' medical data, individualized education that offers customized educational processes according to students' learning speeds, needs and characteristics, communication and education tools that can help nursing students get guidance on how to better cope with various situations encountered in patient care through artificial intelligence-supported education platforms, and big data tools that can help nursing students detect and manage diseases affecting public health faster with big data analysis. As a result, it can be stated that while artificial intelligence makes nursing education more effective, efficient and individual-specific, it will help nurses develop their clinical decision-making skills, improve their communication and education skills, quickly identify the needs of the society and plan health practices according to the need and increase the quality of health services.

Hemşirelik Eğitiminde Yapay Zekânın Önemi ve Yapay Zekanın Kullanım Alanları

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, hemşirelik eğitiminde yapay zekanın önemini ortaya koymak ve hemşirelik eğitiminde yapay zekanın kullanım alanlarını açıklamaktır. Yapay zekâ, şekil, örüntü ve görüntüleri analiz edebilen, deneyimlerden çıkan sonuçları analiz edebilen, karmaşık problemlerin çözümünde farklı çözüm yolları sunabilen, farklı dilleri anlayıp cümleler ve kelimeler üzerinde çeşitli işlemler yapabilen, farklı bakış açılarını organize ederek bir görüş ortaya koyabilen insan zekasının simülasyonu olarak ifade edilmektedir. Bu özelliklere sahip yapay zekanın hemşirelik eğitiminde önemi giderek artmaktadır. Bu teknoloji, eğitim süreçlerinin geliştirilmesine, hemşirelerin klinik becerilerinin artırılmasına ve sağlık bakım hizmetlerinin kalitesinin iyileştirilmesi yardımcı olabilmektedir. Yapay zekâ hemşirelik eğitiminde bazı rollerin, becerilerin geliştirilmesinde yardımcı olmaktadır. Bunlar; öğrencilerin klinik karar verme becerilerini geliştirebilecek yapay zeka tabanlı simülasyonlar, hastaların tıbbi verilerini analiz ederek hemşirelere karar vermede destek sağlayan veri analizi ve klinik karar destek sistemleri, öğrencilerin öğrenme hızları, gereksinimlerine ve özelliklerine göre özelleştirilmiş eğitim süreçleri sunan bireye özgü eğitim, yapay zeka destekli eğitim platformları aracılığıyla hasta bakımında karşılaşılan çeşitli durumlardan nasıl daha iyi başa çıkacaklarına dair rehberlik alabilecekleri iletişim ve eğitim araçları, hemşirelik öğrencilerinin büyük veri analizi ile toplum sağlığını etkileyen hastalıkların daha hızlı tespiti ve yönetilmesine yardımcı olabileceği büyük veri araçları şeklinde özetlenebilir. Sonuç olarak, yapay zekâ hemşirelik eğitimini daha etkili, verimli ve bireye özgü hale getirirken, hemşirelerin klinik karar verme becerilerini geliştirmelerine, iletişim, eğitim becerilerini geliştirmelerine, toplumun ihtiyaçlarını hızlıca tespit ederek ihtiyaca yönelik sağlık uygulamalarının planlanmasına ve sağlık hizmetlerinin kalitesini artırılmasına yardımcı olacağı ifade edilebilir.
