Akademisyenlerin Gözüyle Araştırma Makalesinin Bölümleri

Abstract

Araştırma makalesi, dört ana bölümden (giriş, yöntem, bulgular ve tartışma) oluşmaktadır. Akademisyenlerin en çok yazdığı metin türü olmasına rağmen araştırma makalesi hakkındaki görüşlerini ele alan çok fazla sayıda çalışma yapılmamıştır. Araştırmanın amacı, akademisyenlerin araştırma makalesinin bölümleri hakkındaki görüşlerini tespit etmektir. Çalışmanın verileri, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen bir anket formu ile toplanmıştır. Çalışmaya 13 farklı üniversiteden 414 akademisyen katılmıştır. Çalışma bulgularına bakıldığında, araştırma makalelerinin en çok başlıklarının okunduğu görülmektedir. Bunu sırasıyla özet, sonuç ve bulgular izlemektedir. Sonuç, akademisyenlere göre araştırma makalesinin hem en önemli bölümü hem akademisyenlerin yazarken en çok zorlandığı hem de en çok alıntı yaptıkları bölümdür. Disiplinler bazında bakıldığında, sosyal bilimler ile sağlık bilimlerindeki akademisyenlere göre sonuç, makalelerin en önemli bölümü iken fen bilimlerindeki akademisyenlere göre özet, makalenin en önemli bölümüdür. Çalışma sonuçlarının akademik Türkçe literatürüne katkı sunması beklenmektedir.

Sections of a Research Article from the Perspective of Academics

Abstract

A research article consists of four main parts (introduction, methods, results and discussion). Although it is the type of text that academics write most, there have not been many studies examining their opinions about the research article. The purpose of this research is to investigate the opinions of academics about the sections of the research article. The data of the study were collected with a survey form developed by the researcher. 414 academics from 13 different universities participated in the study. The results have shown that the titles of the research articles are read the most. This is followed by abstract, conclusion and results, respectively. The conclusion (discussion) section is both the most important part of a research article, the most difficult one to write, and the most cited part. Considering different disciplines, according to academics in the social sciences and health sciences, the conclusion is the most important part of an article, while according to academics in the physical sciences, the abstract is the most important part. The study results are expected to contribute to the academic Turkish literature.
