The aim of this study is to determine the knowledge of classroom teachers about reading disabilities and their experiences with students who have reading disabilities. The research is designed as a mixed method in which quantitative and qualitative methods are used together. “Information Scale on Reading Disability-For Teachers” was used to determine the level of knowledge of teachers about reading disabilities. In the qualitative part of the research, a qualitative questionnaire was used to reveal the opinions of the primary teachers about the determination, evaluation and intervention of reading disabilities. The study group consists of 50 primary teachers working in Bayburt. As a result of the research; although the teachers have incomplete and inaccurate information about reading disabilities, it was determined that their knowledge level was generally high. In addition, it was determined that the primary teachers worked individually with students who had reading disabilities during the extra-curricular periods.
