Bilgi Journal adopts open access policy. The digital content is freely available online. Open access to information benefits the humanity as it improves the global value of information. Bilgi Journal also supports the Budapest Open Access Initiative that was signed on September 12, 2012. Thus, the open access policies adopted by the editorial board of Bilgi Journal can be found at http://www.budapestopenaccessinitiative.org/boai-10-recommendations. The record on open access policy of Bilgi is clearly depicted by  ROAD and BOAI.

All articles published in Bilgi Journal are licensed with "Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License".

This license entitles all parties to copy, share and redistribute all the articles, data sets, figures and supplementary files published in this journal in data mining, search engines, web sites, blogs and other digital platforms under the condition of providing references. Open access is an approach that eases the interdisciplinary communication and encourages cooperation among different disciplines. Bilgi Journal, therefore, contributes to its own field by providing more access to its articles and a more transparent review process.

Bilgi Journal recommends that libraries include the article contents into library catalogue records.

Değişim Yayınları, publisher of Bilgi Journal, guarantees that it will not ask for any publication fees from any library or reader to access the electronic articles.

Privacy Statement
Personal information like names and e-mail addresses submitted to the Bilgi journal management system will be used exclusively for this journal scientific aims. . Such information will not be used for other purposes and will not be shared with third parties.

Archiving
All the high level data and full texts of the articles published in Bilgi are stored in XML and .pdf formats in a third party cloud server that is closed to access. Moreover, all the articles are stored and published in .pdf format on ULAKBİM (or DergiPark) servers via TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM National Databases.
