Abstract

Bu çalışmada Dede Korkut Kitabı’ndaki “eyitdügüñde” ve “işit” kelimeleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Buradan hareketle “eyit-” fiilinin tarihî Türk lehçelerindeki seyri ele alınmıştır. Dede Korkut’taki Tepegöz hikayesinde, değişik bilim adamları tarafından farklı okunan iki dizenin, “Ḳara ṭaŞa eyitdügüñde işit virsün, Ḳanlu kanlu ṣulardan geçit virsün”, şeklinde okunması gerektiği sonucuna varılmıştır.
