Distribution of phytoplankton and its relationship with physicochemical parameters in Lake Eğirdir Isparta/Turkey

Abstract

The phytoplankton and physico-chemical features was investigated between July 2011-June 2012 in Lake Eğirdir Isparta/Turkey .Total 90 taxa were determined belog to Bacillariophyta, Cyanophyta Cyanobacteria , Chlorophyta, Charophyta, Euglenophyta, Mizozoa and Ochrophyta. Bacillariophyta have been represented by the highest taxa and individual numbers. During the study Aulacoseira granulata, Fragilaria acus, Fragilaria crotonensis, Pediastrum duplex, Ulnaria capitata have been dominant taxa and frequently observed. According to ShannonWeaver’s and Simpson diversity indices, the highest diversity was detected in July. The relationship between phytoplankton species and physicochemical variables was determined by using Spearman correlation test based on dominant and frequent taxa. Eğirdir Gölü Isparta/Türkiye fitoplanktonunun dağılımı ve çevresel değişkenlerle ilişkisi

Abstract

Eğirdir Gölü Isparta/Türkiye fitoplanktonu ve fiziko-kimyasal özellikleri Temmuz 2011-Haziran 2012’de aylık olarak alınan örneklerde incelenmiştir. Bacillariophyta, Cyanophyta Cyanobacteria , Chlorophyta, Charophyta, Euglenophyta, Mizozoa ve Ochrophyta’ya ait toplam 90 takson belirlenmiş, Bacillariophyta en yüksek birey ve takson sayısı ile temsil edilmiştir. Aulacoseira granulata, Fragilaria acus, Fragilaria crotonensis, Pediastrum duplex, Ulnaria capitata araştırma süresince sıklıkla gözlenmiş ve baskın taksonlar olmuştur. Shannon-Weaver’s ve Simpson çeşitlilik indeksine göre en yüksek çeşitlilik Temmuz ayında saptanmıştır. Fitoplankton türleri ile fizikokimyasal değişkenler arasındaki ilişki Spearman korelasyon testi ile belirlenmiş, bunun için baskın ve sıklıkla gözlemlenen taksonlar kullanılmıştır. Sıcaklık, çözünmüş oksijen, pH, NH4-N, Mg, CO3, HCO3, Cl fitoplankton taksonlarının nisbi bollukları ile önemli korelasyon göstermiştir p
