She has a research background in cancer biology, in the Department of Medical Biology, Faculty of Medicine, Erciyes University. She conducts both in vivo (in nude Scid mouse models) and in vitro studies. She is particularly interested in siRNA/miRNA transfection and the application of natural compounds as therapeutic agents in various cancer types, including breast, glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), lung, and stomach cancer, as well as research on new therapeutic targets.
She participates in numerous national and international research projects funded by TÜBİTAK, TÜSEB, and BAP, both as a manager/coordinator, researcher, and consultant. As a result of these studies, she has over 70 SCI-indexed publications .
Prof. Dr. Elif Funda Şener began her graduate studies in 2004 in the Department of Medical Genetics at Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine, and during her doctoral training conducted advanced genomic research at the John P. Hussman Institute for Human Genomics, University of Miami, USA. She joined the Department of Medical Biology at Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine in 2013, obtained the title of Associate Professor in 2017, and was promoted to Full Professor in 2023. Prof. Şener has long focused her scientific work on elucidating the biological foundations of autism through both clinical investigations and experimental models. She has served as principal investigator and researcher in numerous national and international projects, has authored more than 50 international peer-reviewed publications, and in 2024 introduced a novel autism candidate gene to the scientific literature. In addition to various administrative roles, she has been serving as the Chair of the Department of Medical Biology since 2024.
After completing her undergraduate education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Pharmacy, she completed her postgraduate education at Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Medical Pharmacology. She currently works in the same department.

Professor Dr. Gamze Tanriover got her graduate degree in Hacettepe University in 1998. Dr. Tanriover completed her Master of Science degree at Akdeniz University Department of Histology and Embryology in 2003. She worked for 5 months in the "Brainstem Genetics" project in the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, Oslo University, with the scholarship of the Republic of Turkey, Ministry of Education. She worked at Yale University Department of Neurosurgery Neurovascular Genetic Laboratory between 2006-2008. She completed her PhD thesis titled “The role of PDCD10 (CCM3) gene in the formation of cerebral cavernous malformation” under the co-consultancy Prof. Dr. Murat Gunel's lab at Yale University. Prof. Dr. Gamze Tanriover has more than 70 international publications, book chapter in "Molecular Neurology", and 11 scientific awards given by various associations and institutions. She is working at Akdeniz University, School of Medicine Department of Histology and Embryology since 2000. She is also the members of Turkish Society of Histology and Embryology (THED), Brain Research Society and European Association of Cancer Research (EACR). Dr. Tanriover's research areas glioblastoma, breast and soluble cancers and metastasis.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gözde Ertürk Zararsız is an expert researcher in the field of biostatistics. She has extensive experience in diagnostic test methodologies, computational algorithms, method comparison studies, and ring trials within the health and life sciences. Her research focuses on developing methodological advancements and innovative approaches in experimental design, meta-analysis, survival analysis, bioinformatics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence applications.
She completed her Ph.D. between 2015 and 2019 in the Department of Biostatistics at the Institute of Health Sciences, Eskişehir Osmangazi University. During her doctoral studies, she worked as a visiting researcher in 2016 at Dr. von Hauner Children’s Hospital, LMU Munich, Germany, where she conducted studies on laboratory methods and data analysis. In 2018, during her dissertation period, she joined two international projects within the Systems Biology group at Helmholtz Zentrum München Institute and carried out validation studies of the MxP Quant 500 kit developed by Biocrates.
Since 2015, she has been a faculty member at the Department of Biostatistics, Erciyes University, and became an Associate Professor in 2024. She leads research in Precision Medicine and Advanced Analytics, focusing on personalized medicine and advanced data analytics. She is currently active as a principal investigator and collaborator in several national and international projects.
