Open Access Policy

bitig Journal of Faculty of Letters adopts the publishing standards and policies defined by DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals). bitig Journal of Faculty of Letters is an open access journal.

The Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) defines open access as “free availability on the public internet, permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself.”

All articles published by bitig Journal of Faculty of Letters are licensed under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/ (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). This license encourages the non-commercial sharing, reproduction and use of the works published in our journal. In this way, it is aimed to provide unlimited access to the articles of our journal and transfer academic information easily. No fee or expense is demanded for authors and readers.

Authors retain the copyright of their works published in the journal. Published works are distributed under the license  https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/ (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). It is obligatory to obtain the necessary permissions for the use of articles for commercial purposes. Authors grant the journal the right of first publication of their work, as well as a non-exclusive license to process, reproduce, publish, distribute, and make the work publicly available, including via the internet. All published articles are openly accessible to everyone, provided that proper reference is given to the journal and the authors.
