İmtiyaz Sahibi
He was born in 1977 in the district of Fethiye, Muğla province. He completed his primary and secondary education in Fethiye. In 1995, he began his university studies in the Department of History at the Faculty of Languages, History and Geography, Ankara University. Having completed his undergraduate studies in 1999, Gökçe went on to complete his Master’s degree in 2001 at the Institute of Social Sciences, Ankara University, in the Department of General Turkish History, with a thesis entitled ‘The History of Western Turkistan between the 6th and 9th Centuries’. In 2007, he completed his doctoral studies at the same institute with a thesis entitled ‘The Situation in the Caspian Region and Its Surroundings from the Pre-Soviet Era to the Present Day’. His research focuses on energy resources in the Caspian Sea region, the Caucasus, Turkic tribes, travellers, Turkic culture and the Turkic world.

Tevfik Orkun Develi, 1984 yılında Eskişehir’de doğdu. 2006’da Selçuk Üniversitesi, Uluslararası İlişkiler Bölümü’nden lisans derecesi ile mezun oldu. Buradaki eğitim hayatının bir döneminde uluslararası öğrenci değişim programı ile Polonya’nın Szczecin Üniversitesi’ne bağlı Siyaset Bilimi ve Avrupa Çalışmaları Enstitüsü’nde öğrenim gördü. 2009’da Hacettepe Üniversitesi, Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü, Tarih Anabilim Dalı’nda bilim uzmanlığını alarak, aynı alanda doktora çalışmalarına başladı. Bu kapsamda bir süre Rusya ve Azerbaycan’da araştırmalar yaptı. 2013 yılında çalışmalarını Araştırma Görevlisi olarak atandığı Muğla Sıtkı Koçman Üniversitesi’ne taşıyarak, 2018’de Azerbaycan’da Modernitenin Kurucu Unsuru Olarak Milliyetçilik başlıklı teziyle tarih alanında doktora eğitimini tamamladı. 2024 yılında Genel Türk Tarihi alanında doçent unvanını almaya hak kazandı. Milliyetçilik, modernleşme ve uluslararası ilişkiler üzerine çalışmaları olup, iyi seviyede İngilizce ve Rusça bilmektedir.

Serhat Kumbalı is a Research Assistant (PhD) in the Department of History at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University. His research interests include the history of education, the history of economic thought and Weberian sociology. His doctoral dissertation explores the extent to which values education in the Early Republican Period of Turkey was compatible with the spirit of capitalism. He currently teaches courses in the field of the history of education.
