Dr. Baboo Ali completed his PhD from Ankara University in the Faculty of Agriculture. Currently, he is offering his services as an academician and researcher in Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Faculty of Agriculture. Prior to present engagement he had offered his services in the project, “Ecology Training with Insects in Primary, Middle and High School Education Levels’ for four years. Presently, he is running two European Union projects and one TÜBİTAK-1001 project as Research Scientist, and he completed one Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University BAP project as project leader and one Turkish Scientific and Technological Research Council Project as project advisor. He has published many scientific research articles in reputed journals and has been offering his services as Co-Editor-in-Chief in ‘COMU Journal of Agriculture Faculty', language editor in 'Acta Natura et Scientia', Assistant editor in 'Acta Entomology and Zoology' and editorial board member of 'American Journal of Entomology' and ‘Journal of Ecobiotechnology’.
He is also the Coordinator of ‘European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) of his department. His fields of specializations are Biological and Biotechnological Control Methods, Rangeland Entomology, Organic Farming, Side-effects of Pesticides and Insect Pests of Field Crops. He has to his credit many prestigious awards and scholarships such as ‘Souvenir’ awarded by the Mayor of Sincan Municipality Ankara, Shield of Performance by the Dean Faculty of Agriculture, Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University, ‘Shield of Honour’ by the Voice Chancellor, University of Agriculture Faisalabad, ‘PhD Fellowship’ awarded by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBİTAK), ‘Cultural Exchange Scholarship’ by the Turkish Ministry of Education (MEB) and ‘Postgraduate Fellowship’ awarded by the ‘Promotion of Education (PEP) Foundation New York, USA.
Dr. Baboo Ali evaluated many PhD theses and reviewed scientific research articles for the ‘Polish Journal of Environmental Studies’, ‘Entomological Research’, 'International Journal of Tropical Insect Science', 'Turkish Journal of Agricultural and Natural Sciences', ‘Pakistan Journal of Agricultural Sciences’, ‘Journal of Adnan Menderes University Agricultural Faculty’ and ‘Sarhad Journal of Agriculture’. He is also running different projects and offering short courses such as ‘No Bee No Honey’, 'Hobby Gardening’, ‘Let’s Know the Insects’, 'Feed A Predator' and ‘Teaching of Smart Insects as Small Business’. He attended many national and international conferences, symposiums and workshops in different countries.
Dr. Fırat Alatürk completed his Ph.D. from the Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University in the Faculty of Agriculture Department of Field Crops in 2018. Before that, he did his B.S. degree from the Atatürk University Erzurum. After that, he finished his M.S. program from the Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University in the Faculty of Agriculture Department of Field Crops. In first, he started his academic career as Research Assistant in the Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University. But currently, he is offering his services as Associate Professor in the Department of Field Crops, Faculty of Agriculture, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Türkiye. At the same time, he is taking the charge of the Assistant Director of the Science and Technology Application and Research Centre (ÇOBİLTUM). He worked as Research Assistant in two different European Union projects titled, “Adult Training Course for Small Farmers on Ecological and Urban Agriculture - ECOAGRI” and “Development of Managerial and Entrepreneurial Skills of Young Eco-farmers via Joint VET Curricula, Enhanced Qualification Profile, Assessment Standard and Sustainable Cooperation Synergies - ECOFAR”, one TÜBİTAK-1001 funded project as Project Leader titled “Effects of Harvesting Heights on Growth Process, Biomass Production, C/N Ratio and Quality Properties of Sweet Sorghum and Sorghum Sudangrass Hybrid Varieties”. Moreover, he also completed a couple of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University BAP funded projects as Project Leader and Assistant Researcher. Presently, he is offering his services as Research Scientist in the TÜBİTAK-1001 funded project titled, “Isolation of Plant Promoting Bacteria from the Soils of Gökçeada (Imbros) and Bozcaada (Tenedos) Islands and Investigate their Potential as Biofertilizer”. He has published many scientific research articles in reputed journals. Dr. Firat Alatürk also supervised and evaluated many M.S. students and theses in his academic career. He also participated many national and international conferences, symposiums and workshops.
