Writing Rules

PUBLISHING PRINCIPLES
1. The articles sent to the Journal of Engineering Sciences and Research must not have been published anywhere before and have not been submitted for publication.
2. Articles written in any of the Turkish and English languages ​​are published in the journal. The responsibility of the studies published in the journal in terms of science and language belongs to the author / authors.


3. In our journal, it will be evaluated not only from academics but also from researchers and practitioners.

4. Studies previously presented at conferences and not published in full text, only those whose abstracts are published, can be accepted into the publication evaluation process to be specified in the study.

5. Articles should be sent to our journal electronically. In order to submit the articles online through the website and to follow the stage of the article in the referee evaluation process, the journal must be a member and logged in. The personal information entered on the journal's site will be used only for the described purposes of the journal and will not be available for any other purpose or any party.

6. Information about the referee process of the articles sent to the Journal of Engineering Sciences and Researches is made to the authors through the system, and evaluation reports can be easily followed by the authors through the system.

7. The articles sent to our journal will be in word format. Uploads that are not made in accordance with journal rules are not taken into the evaluation process.

8. The articles sent to the Journal of Engineering Sciences and Researches are sent to at least two referees after a preliminary examination in terms of shape and content. The articles that receive positive opinions from the referees are taken to the publication process. If a positive and negative report is received from the referees, the study is sent to a third referee, if deemed appropriate by the Journal Editor.

9. The author (s) who submitted an article to the Journal of Engineering Sciences and Researches will be deemed to have accepted the review conditions and process of the journal.

10. Articles that do not comply with the subject of the journal, the rules of spelling or grammar are returned to the author / s after the preliminary examination, without being sent to the referees by the Journal of Engineering Sciences and Research. All kinds of form and content changes can be requested from the authors regarding the pre-evaluated articles.

11. During the layout work, the author (s) must respond to the posts made for control and correction within the specified time. The articles of the author (s) who do not respond within the specified periods are postponed for evaluation in the next issue.

12. The articles whose evaluation process is completed are listed as of the date of submission and published in the related issue of the journal. For articles accepted for publication, a letter of acceptance is sent to the publication, if requested.

13. In line with the reports from the referees, it is decided to publish the article, to request corrections, additional information and abbreviations from the author / s within the framework of the report, and this decision is reported to the author / s through the system. The author (s) is obliged to make all the changes requested by the referees. The studies are not published without the desired changes.

14. All the publishing rights of the articles accepted and published in the journal are written and electronically owned by the Journal of Engineering Sciences and Research.

15. No copyright payment is made to the author (s) for the works published in the journal. Regarding the articles accepted or published for publication, the author or authors transfer their copyright directly to the Journal of Engineering Sciences and Research (BMBAD) without any procedure.

16. The opinions and responsibilities in the articles published in the journal belong to the authors.

17. Articles accepted or published for publication may not be reproduced and published in any way without the written permission of the Journal of Engineering Sciences and Researches. However, it can be quoted provided that it shows the source.

18. It is not possible to withdraw the studies / cancellation of the referee process by the author (s) sent to the Journal of Engineering Sciences and Researches and the referee process is not in accordance with scientific ethical understanding. Considering this issue by the authors, sending the publication to our journal will prevent the academic ethical victimization of the parties along with the possible loss of labor and time.

19. If the article and article of the research subject is supported by any institution or produced from the thesis, this situation should be put on the last word of the title of the work (1) and should be indicated as a footnote on the same page.


WRITING RULES:


Font Character and Page Layout:


1. The article sent to the journal should be prepared with 10 font size, Times New Roman font and Turkish font.

2. Magazine sample template should be used as the page structure.

Article Text:

3. The article should consist of Turkish title, English title, Turkish abstract, author information, English abstract, keywords, and subsequent introduction, main text, conclusion, bibliography and annexes.

4. The articles should be based on the spelling guide and spelling rules of the Turkish Language Association (TDK). Turkish dictionaries should be used as much as possible instead of foreign words. When using unfamiliar words in Turkish, the equivalent in a foreign language can be given in parentheses in the first place.

Title:

5. Titles should be written in Turkish and English summary sections in capital letters, left justified, Times New Roman, 14 font size and bold.

Summary and Keywords:

6. All articles submitted should include a summary in Turkish and English. Between 3-5 (Keywords) should be written in English and Turkish. Turkish and English abstracts should be written flat. The first letter of the keywords must be uppercase. Abbreviation should not be used in the abstract of the article and this part should be minimum 100 words and maximum 200 words. In addition, in the summary part related to the study; Care should be taken to include purpose, method, findings and outcome information.

7. Abstracts and Keywords Times New Roman, should be written in 10 font size.

Main Text and Section Titles:

8. The main text should be written in 10 pt, single spaced and justified using Times New Roman font. The main title and sub-headings of the article should be numbered in decimal form such as 1., 1.1., 1.1.1, starting from the Introduction (excluding the Bibliography) and written in bold. In the text, sub-distinction should be opened up to the third level (such as 1.2.4.). If necessary, lower level headings should be written in bold without numbering. It should be left justified with the relevant first title number, only the main titles should be written in capital letters, and only the first letter of the subtitles should be uppercase. There should be 12 nk space before and 6 nk before the titles. There should be 6 nk space before and after each paragraph.

Tables, Figures and Graphics:

9. Tables, figures and graphs should be shown in a consecutive numbered form (Table 1, Table 2, Figure 1, Figure 2, Graphic 1, Graphic 2.) In the appropriate places of the text, centered on the page. A title should be given to each table, figure or graphic. Title should be placed on the table, figure or graphic as Times New Roman, 11 pt, bold centered on the page. After the table is given with the shape or graphic no, the name of the table, figure or graphic should be written by putting a single point. The paragraph spacing between the table, figure or chart title and the table (after 6 pt) should be. The text in the table, figure and graphic should be in 10 point range.

10. Tables should not be put in the text as software program output, the results should be written by the author / authors themselves. The resolution of the figures should be at least 300 dpi.

Mathematical Equations and Formulas:

11. Mathematical equations and formulas in the text should be written centered. In the article, mathematical equations and formulas should be supported by numbering. Numbering should be done in parentheses at the far right of the line.

In-text Citation:

12. Citations should be given numerically in the text as IEEE reference style. References in the text should be given in square brackets. References should be given in the bibliography in the following ways.


References:

Journal article: J.K. Author, “Name of the article”, Abbrev. Title of Periodical, vol. x, no. x, pp. xxx-xxx, Abbrev. Month, year.

13. In cases not specified in writing, the issues adopted in scientific writing will be taken into consideration.

b The author may make separate contract arrangements for the distribution of the published version of the work without authorization (for example, to be sent to a corporate database or to be published in a book).

c The authors are encouraged to share their works on the internet (for example, in the corporate database or on their website) before submitting them to the journal or while the submission process is in progress; this can lead to both efficient exchange of ideas and earlier and greater citation of the work (see Effect of Open Access)
