According to the resolutions taken by the relevant boards of TUBITAK ULAKBIM TR INDEX, as of 2020 the authors of the studies other than review, articles are expected to comply with the following rules:
- Studies requiring data collection by means of scales, surveys, interviews, observations, etc., the approval of the ethics committee (name of the ethics committee, date and number of the resolution) must be stated and documented in the method section of the prospective study, and both on the first and last page.
- The information concerning the voluntary consent form signed by the participants should be stated in the study.
- The proof that ethical principles are followed (such as obtaining permission to use other researchers’ scales, surveys, and documents) during the data collection process should be submitted within the study.
- The study should be required to comply with the research and publication ethics.
Balkan Journal of Music and Art is the official publication Trakya University State Conservatory, and an international refereed journal.
EASE (The European Association of Science Editors) recommendations and COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) International Standards for Editors and Authors are taken into consideration in the manuscripts submitted to the Balkan Journal of Music and Art.
The journal is published twice a year (April-October).
Manuscripts written in the field of Music and Art are published in both Turkish and English.
The author should subscribe to the system using the link https://dergipark.org.tr/bmsd and upload the manuscript.
While uploading the manuscript to the system, authors are provided with a Sample Manuscript Format file. Manuscripts whose main manuscript file is not organized in accordance with the specified guidelines will not be sent to the referee for evaluation.
The manuscripts submitted to our journal are firstly pre-reviewed in terms of form and content, and the manuscripts not complying with the spelling rules and including translation errors will be excluded from referee evaluation process.
Manuscripts can be prepared in accordance with the footnote or in-text citation method. The author must comply with the issues specified in the spelling rules.
Our journal is blind refereed. Identity information of the author(s) should not be included in the main article file.
Manuscripts meeting the prerequisites of the journal are sent to at least two referees. Upon being positively reviewed, the manuscripts are listed to be published.
The identity information of the authors and referees are not provided to each parties by no means.
If the manuscript is rejected by one of the referees, it may also be rejected upon the decision of the Editorial Board.
If any corrections are requested by the referees, the author is notified and requested to revise and resubmit the manuscript. For the manuscripts requested to be revised should be uploaded to the system by the author(s) as required. If no correction is made, the article is rejected.
During the referee evaluation process, the reviewed manuscript should be uploaded to the system within 7 days by the author/authors by completing the recommended corrections requested by the Editorial Board. If the corrections are not provided, the manuscript will be rejected by the Editorial Board.
The submitted manuscript should not be published elsewhere previously.
All kinds of publication and copyright of the published articles belong to Balkan Journal of Music and Art, the opinions, scientific responsibilities, and the legal responsibility of the manuscripts belong to the author / authors.
No royalties are paid to the author/authors for the published articles.
No fee is requested from the author / authors for published articles.
The journal has the right of publication of the manuscript.
