VÜCUT KİTLE İNDEKSİNİN GEBELİK VE NEONATAL SONUÇLARA ETKİSİ The Effect Of Body Mass Index On Pregnancy And Neonatal Results

Year 2019, Volume: 9 Issue: 3, 76 - 80, 16.09.2019

Abstract

analizler Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS Inc; Chicago, IL, USA) versiyon 20.0 yazılımı kullanılarak
yapılmıştır.
Bulgular: Çalışmaya dahil edilen hastaların yaş ortalamaları 28.24±5.74, VKİ ortalamaları 30,49±4,85, son adet
tarihine göre gebelik haftası ortalamaları 38.39±2.22 idi. Obez olan ve olmayan gruplar arasında makrozomik
fetus, ikiz gebelik ve sezaryen oranlarında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark saptandı (sırasıyla p=0.007, p=0.041,
p=0.046).
ABSTRACT
Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of Body Mass Index in non-diabetic pregnant
women on maternal and fetal outcomes.
Method: Between January 2016- December 2017, 360 pregnant women who were delivered in the term in
our clinic and whose records were fully accessible were included in the study. The study groups were divided
into two as < 30 and ? 30 according to BMI. Pregnant women who had complications such as diabetes mellitus
and hypertension and pregnant women under 37 weeks of gestation were excluded from the study. Statistical
analysis was performed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS Inc; Chicago, IL, USA) version
20.0 software.
Results: The mean age of the patients included in the study was 28.24 ± 5.74, their average BMI was 30.49 ±
4.85 and the mean gestational week according to the last menstrual period was 38.39 ± 2.22. A statistically
significant difference was found between obese and non-obese groups in terms of the macrosomic fetus, twin
pregnancy and cesarean rates (p = 0.007, p = 0.041, p = 0.046, respectively).
Conclusions: In our study, it was found that obesity increased cesarean rates in non-diabetic pregnant women,
decreased the pH values in newborn and increased the incidence of macrosomia.
