Aim & Scope

BRIQ Belt & Road Initiative Quarterly is a Turkish-English, quarterly, double blind peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal that aims to contribute to academic knowledge in the fields of international politics, economy, and culture. The journal seeks to provide a platform for qualified academic debate on the Belt and Road Initiative, Türkiye-China relations, Eurasia, developing countries, global development, political economy, and international cooperation.

BRIQ’s main aim is to strengthen direct exchange of knowledge and ideas among scholars, researchers, and intellectuals from Türkiye, China, and other countries, and to contribute to scholarly publishing on multipolarity, common development, peace, cooperation, and public benefit.

BRIQ welcomes submissions in the fields of international relations, political science, political economy, development studies, Eurasian studies, China studies, Türkiye-China relations, the Belt and Road Initiative, culture, history, technology, environment, energy, security, and global transformation.

The journal publishes scholarly articles, research and review essays, book reviews, interviews, newsletters, and lead articles. Scholarly articles are subject to a double-blind peer review process. BRIQ accepts submissions in Turkish and English. All submissions are evaluated in terms of the journal’s publication principles, author guidelines, originality, timeliness, ethical standards, and plagiarism criteria.
