Manuscript Evaluation Process

Manuscript Evaluation Process

1. Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University Journal of Social Sciences operates a two-stage process for the evaluation of submitted manuscripts: internal editorial review and external peer review.
2. Immediately after submission, the Editor-in-Chief/Editor-in-Chief checks the article for compliance with the journal's purpose and scope and adherence to ethical standards in research and writing.
3. Manuscripts that comply with the journal's editorial policy are sent to one of the Associate Editors for formal review.
4. The Associate Editor reviews the manuscript for conformity with the journal's editorial guidelines, and the manuscript is subjected to a plagiarism scan to detect plagiarism. The external evaluation process of the articles that complete these processes is initiated.
5. At the external evaluation stage, at least two external reviewers are selected by the Field Editor from among the experts who have research on the subject of the article. The referees are determined among researchers with at least a PhD degree in the relevant discipline.
6. The referees evaluate the article in detail in terms of its subject, method and results and give their opinion on whether it should be published or not.
7. Reviewed articles are subjected to double blind peer review. Articles accepted by at least two referees are prepared for publication.
8. The manuscript accepted for publication is read by the Editor-in-Chief/Editor-in-Chief for the last time. It is then sent for English language control.
