Language and Spelling
The language of Çankırı Karatekin University Journal of Turkology Studies is Turkish. However, articles written in Turkic dialects and English are also accepted. Articles must be prepared in accordance with the APA 6th edition style. Turkish Language Association’s Spelling Guide should be followed in writing and abbreviations. Submitted articles must be formatted according to the article template and writing guidelines. When submitting an article, the Copyright Agreement and Similarity Report must be uploaded to the system. Articles that do not comply with the journal’s writing guidelines and article template will not be considered for review.
Spelling Rules
Title
It should be written in 12 font size and bold letters which are compatible with the content and shouldn’t be more than 12 words. The second heading should be written in bold, italic and the first letters in capitals one line below. In-text titles -including the bibliography- should be 11 font size. One line space should be left before headings. There should be no number in the Introduction and Conclusion sections of the article; other headings should be numbered as 1., 2., 3. etc.
Author Name (Layout Stage)
Articles should be submitted to the system without author information. However, situations requiring special information (e.g., articles produced from theses, etc.) should be indicated in a footnote. In the layout stage, authors are expected to enter their names and information in the designated areas of the file with the first letters capitalized and bold. The title, institution, email, and ORCID information should be placed immediately below the name.
AbstractIt should be written in font size 10, Palatino Linotype font character. The text should be justified on both sides. The abstract should be prepared with a minimum of 200 and a maximum of 350 words and should be descriptive and introductory of the research. One line space should be left under the abstract and 5 keywords should be included in here. There is no 200-word limit for book reviews. In Turkish articles, the second abstract should be prepared in English. If the article is prepared in another language, the second abstract should be written in Turkish.
Main Text of the ArticleArticles should be typed in font size 11, Palatino Linotype font character and single line spacing on the Word page. The paragraph range of the text should be set to 0 nk first and then 6 nk. There should be a 2.5 cm margin at the top and bottom of the page and a 2 cm margin on the right and left sides. Paragraphs should begin with a 1 cm indentation, and the text should be justified. Numbered items should not be indented. The first letters of subheadings within the text should be capitalized, left-aligned, and bold. It should be one space left before the headings. Highlighted sections and book names in the text should be in italics. The author should give numbers and names to photographs, tables and figures in the text. These must not exceed one third of the text. In addition, the photos must have high resolution. Footnotes should be used for explanations in the text. Footnotes should be written in font size 10, Palatino Linotype font character. The in-text citation method should be used in the articles. Example: (Çobanoğlu, 2015, p. 12). In quotations with two or more authors, the surname of all authors is shown in the first reference. For other references, "etc." expression is used after the surname of the first author. Quotations should be given in quotation marks. Long and block quotations should be written in 10 points, 1 cm inside from the both sides. Articles should not exceed 10,000 words.

BibliographyReferences should be prepared in 11 font size and 1 cm hanging. The sources used in the article should be arranged alphabetically according to the surnames of the authors at the end of the text. If more than one study used in the article belongs to the same author, the writer should add a letter at the end of to the publication year of these studies: (2015a), (2015b).
