Peer-Review Process

Papers can be submitted to the CHTA by registering in the "Article Management System". Papers sent by e-mail will not be taken into consideration. Only manuscripts that have been approved by all authors and have never been published in or sent to another journal are accepted for review.

Pre-Review and Plagiarism Checking

iThenticate software is used to scan submitted publications for plagiarism if they pass preliminary control. iThenticate is a system that tests the originality of the submitted material and helps detect plagiarism. The eligible ones are evaluated by the editor-in-chief for originality, methodology, the importance of the subject covered, and compliance with the journal scope after they have been checked for plagiarism. Notice that our journal applies very strict parameters of text novelty, in order to avoid possible problems of plagiarism and self-plagiarism. Texts with overlaps larger than 25% are not considered.

Editor/Field Editor Review

After the study passes the stages of pre-review and similarity checking, it is reviewed by the relevant editor/field editor in terms of subject, scope, language use, and academic competence. This review is completed within a maximum of 10 days.

Peer-Review Process (Double-Blind Peer Review)

This journal uses double-blind review, which means that throughout the review process, both the reviewer and author identities are kept a secret from the reviewers, and vice versa. The manuscripts that are chosen are sent to at least three referees for review. The manuscripts should be evaluated by at least two external and/or internal reviewers and by the anonymous expert member of the Editorial Board, usually within 12-24 weeks. After reviewing the paper and receiving the reviewers' comments, the Editorial Board typically makes a final decision about the publication within 3-6 weeks (Please see also the Guide for Reviewers).

Author's Revision

Authors must to revise the paper in accordance with remarks or give a reasonable explanation of ignoring some remark. The paper must be revised during the 3 weeks counting from the day the article has been returned to the author. Corrections must be provided in other text colours and must be prepared a letter for reviewers.

Field Editor Review

The field editor reviews whether the author has made the requested corrections in the paper. If there is a “Major Revision” requirement in the peer review reports, they send the article to the relevant peer reviewer. If there is an "Acceptance" or "Minor Revision" requirement and the revisions are completed, they can submit the article for language checks (The checking process is completed within a maximum of 7 days.). If they detect that the corrections have not been made, they re-send the article to the author. They may reject the article if the author does not make the corrections again. Articles that are not accepted for publication are not deleted from the system. Their processes and files are stored in the system.

Editorial Board Review

The Editorial Board is the competent authority to take decisions on the selection or rejection of submissions of all the papers submitted to the Journal for research/review/similar. The decision taken by the Editorial Board is final in all respects and no further comments/communications from authors in this regard is expected. It may be noted that the aforesaid policy may change with or without notice to the authors/ contributors of this journal. The Journal's decision on handling a manuscript in each step is taken as a final decision.

Typesetting and Layout Process

The journal undertakes the typesetting and layout processes of the studies decided to be published by the Editorial Board.
