Günlük Çalışma Süresi ve Sağlık Sonuçları

Abstract

Günümüzde pek çok kişi çalışma dünyasının içindedir. Çalışanların sağlıklı olması için sağlıklı ve güvenli iş yerleri temel bir gerekliliktir. Çalışma süresi düzenlemeleri sağlıklı çalışma hayatının bileşenidir. Çalışma koşulları arasında yer alan günlük çalışma süreleri ülkeler arasında farklılık göstermektedir. Uluslararası Çalışma Örgütü’nün ulaşılan en son yıl verilerine göre haftalık ortalama çalışma süreleri 52,6 saat ile 28,6 saat arasında değişmektedir. Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu 2023 Eylül ayı verilerine göre mevsim ve takvim etkilerinden arındırılmış haftalık ortalama çalışma süresi 44,2 saattir. Uzun günlük çalışma sürelerinin önemli sağlık ve iş güvenliği etkileri bulunmaktadır. Bu etkiler; uyku bozuklukları, kardiyovasküler sistem, ruh sağlığı ve hastalıkları, kas iskelet sistemi, kanser, diğer bazı sağlık etkileri, sosyal yaşam, verimlilik ve iş güvenliği-iş kazaları başlıkları altında derlenmiştir, konuya ilişkin önerilerde bulunulmuştur. Bu bilgiler doğrultusunda yapılacak düzenlemeler çalışanların sağlıklı ve güvenlikli çalışma haklarına katkı sağlayacaktır.
