Üniversite Öğrencilerinde Erken Dönem Uyum Bozucu Şemalar İle Romantik İlişki Eğilimleri Arasındaki İlişki: Şema Terapi Modeli Çerçevesinde Bir İnceleme

Abstract

Bu araştırma, üniversite öğrencilerinde erken dönem uyum bozucu şemaların, romantik ilişki eğilimlerini yordama gücünü belirlemek amacıyla yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Young Şema Ölçeği- KF3, Çok Boyutlu İlişki Ölçeği ve Kişisel Bilgi Formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini 2016- 2017 eğitim öğretim yılı güz döneminde, ülkenin batısında yer alan bir devlet üniversitesinin farklı bölümlerinde öğrenim görmekte olan ve en az altı aylık romantik ilişki geçmişi bulunan 334 üniversite öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Katılımcıların yaş ortalaması 22,63’tür ve örneklemin %68’i kadın, %30,8’i erkektir. Araştırmada YŞÖ- KF3’ün ölçtüğü erken dönem uyum bozucu şemaların beş alanı olarak ele alınan bağımsız değişkenlerin (ayrılma ve reddedilme şema alanı, zedelenmiş özerklik şema alanı, diğeri yönelimlilik şema alanı, zedelenmiş sınırlar şema alanı ve aşırı tetikte olma şema alanı) ÇBİÖ’nün romantik ilişki eğilimleri olarak ele alınan sekiz boyutunu (ilişkiye yüksek düzeyde odaklanma, ilişki doyumu, ilişki korkusu/kaygısı, ilişki izlenimi ayarlama, ilişkide kendine güven, dışsal ilişki kontrolü, ilişki girişkenliği ve içsel ilişki kontrolü) yordama gücünü belirlemek amacıyla aşamalı çoklu regresyon analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırma bulguları, romantik ilişki eğilimlerinin erken dönem uyum bozucu şemalar tarafından anlamlı düzeyde yordandığını ve öncelikli olarak zedelenmiş özerklik ve diğeri yönelimlilik şema alanlarının yordayıcılığının daha yüksek olduğunu, bununla birlikte ayrılma ve reddedilme ve aşırı tetikte olma şema alanlarının romantik ilişki eğilimlerini yordama gücünün daha zayıf olduğunu göstermektedir.

The Relationship Between Early Maladaptive Schemas and Psychological Tendencies Associated With The Romantic Relationships In University Students: An Investigation Through The Schema Therapy Model

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the predictive power of variables that early maladaptive schema domains on the psychological tendencies associated with the romantic relationships in university students. Young Schema Questionnaire- SF3, The Multidimensional Relationship Questionnaire, and The Personal Information Form were used to collect the data. The sample of the research was composed of 334 students who have a romantic relationship history of at least six months. The average age of the participants was 22.63 and 68% of them were female and 30.8% of them were male. A stepwise multiple regression analysis was conducted. The results of this study showed that; the psychological tendencies associated with the romantic relationships were associated with early maladaptive schema domains, and it was concluded that romantic relationship tendencies were predominantly associated with impaired autonomy and other-directedness schema domains. However, it was seen that the predicting power of disconnection and rejection, and over vigilance schema domains on the tendencies associated with the romantic relationship was low.
