Ethical Guidelines
The ethical rules to be followed in the Journal of the Faculty of Education are determined as follows by taking into consideration the TR Index criteria.
Researches requiring Ethical Committee Approval:
• Any research carried out with qualitative or quantitative approaches that require data collection from participants via survey, interview, focus group work, observation, experiment techniques,
• Research on humans and animals (including materyal/data) using experimental methods for clinical or other scientific purposes,
• Retrospective studies carried out in accordance with the law on the protection of personal data.
Conditions requiring ethical declaration in research and the forms of declaration:
Stating that the informed consent form has been signed in qualitative research, case studies and case reports that require data collection in direct communication with people such as interviews and observations,
Expressing that informed consent is obtained from the parent or caregiver responsible for research conducted with individuals under the age of 18,
Getting permission from the owners for the use of scales, surveys, photographs of others and remarking this; submission of correspondence samples indicating that permission has been obtained from the relevant individuals at the request of the editors or referees,
Stating that the copyright regulations are complied with for the ideas and works of art used.
Other important issues regarding the operation of the ethical rules and ethical committee approval:
For the articles the research data in a time before 2020 has been used, produced from postgraduate / doctorate studies (should be stated in the article), and for articles submitted to the journal in the previous year, accepted but not yet published a retrospective ethical committee approval is not required.
Researchers who are not members of the university can also apply to the Ethical Committees in their region.
In Çukurova University Faculty of Education Journal, the rules of scientific research and publication ethics determined in “Council of Higher Education Scientific Research and Ethics Regulation” are applied. In the articles to be published in the journals, it should be indicated whether an ethical committee approval and / or legal / private permission should be obtained. If these permissions are required, it should be stated in the method section from which institution, on which date, and with which decision or number it obtained, the ethical committee document should be attached to the end of the article as appendix.
If the study requires the use of human and animal subjects, it should be declared that it is performed in accordance with international declaration, guidance, etc.
