The Problem of Pride and i ts Consequences Accordance to Qu.r'an
Abstract
The Qur'an discusses pride in two dimensions: (1) the pride of Allah
and (2) His servants. Gad is praised by this attribute ana it is
declared in the Holy Quran that only He is worthy of this praise.
Human arrogance is strictly forbidden because ıt implicitly equates
men with Gad. Pride alsa exceeds the limitations that Gad has set
for humans. The pride is effective in the field of creed and action.
Pride can become rooted in the saul. It leads humans towards impiety
and oppression. There are important similarities between
narcissism and the pride which is forbidden in the Qur'an. The
most important way to prevent pride is through humility towards
Almighty Allah. Worship is the expressian of that modesty
