Kehanet Türleri ve Kadim Kültürlerdeki Uygulamaları

Abstract

Kehanet, aşkın bir yardım veya içkin bir feyezan ile bazen bir takım edevat vasıtasıyla ya da yalın olarak iç-görü sayesinde belli bazı işaretlerin yorumlanarak geleceğin gizemli perdesini veya geçmişin bilinmeyen sırlarını ifşa etmeye teşebbüstür. Bu yorumlarda bulunan kişilere ise kâhin denir. Kehanet türleri tabiî ve sunî olmak üzere iki ana kısma ayrılmaktadır. Kadim kültürlerin hemen hemen hepsinde belli bir çeşit kehanet yöntemine rastlanılmaktadır. Bu makalede altı adet ana kategoriye ayrılan toplam on sekiz adet kehanet yöntemi tanımlanmış ve Mısır, Mezopotamya, Kadim İsrail, Roma, Çin ve Tibet gibi kadim kültürlerin kullandıkları kehanet yöntemlerine örnekler verilmiştir. Ayrıca çalışma boyunca edinilen bilgiler kullanılarak bir kehanette bulunulmuştur ki bu, çalışmaya pratik bir veçhe katmaya matuftur.
