Akılcı Duygusal Davranış Terapisi’ne Dayalı Grupla Psikolojik Danışmanın Üniversite Öğrencilerinin Yetkinlik inançlarını Yükseltmedeki Etkisi

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the group counseling based on Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy on the self efficacy beliefs of the university students Pretest posttest controlled group design was used in this research The study group included 20 person who were chosen from the volunteer students at Mersin University 5 males 5 females from those 20 students were included in the experimental control groups by choosing randomly The experimental group was given counseling based on REBT and the control group was not included the process In data analysis one way covariance analysis ANCOVA were used The results showed that the group counseling based on REBT increased the belief levels of the academic social emotional and total self efficacy of the members of experimental group In order to determine whether the long lasting effect of REBT continue or not follow up study was considered to be done after 1 months and finding showed that was effect of counseling were being continued Key words: Rational emotive behaviour therapy group counseling self efficacy beliefs

AKILCI DUYGUSAL DAVRANIŞ TERAPİSİ’NE DAYALI GRUPLA PSİKOLOJİK DANIŞMANIN ÜNİVERSİTE ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN YETKİNLİK İNANÇLARINI YÜKSELTMEDEKİ ETKİSİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Akılcı Duygusal Davranış Terapisi (ADDT)’ne dayalı grupla psikolojik danışmanın, üniversite öğrencilerinin yetkinlik inançlarını yükseltmedeki etkisini incelemektir. Araştırmada, Öntest-Sontest Kontrol Gruplu Deney Deseni kullanılmıştır. 2007-2008 eğitim-öğretim yılında Mersin Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi’nde öğrenimini sürdüren 100 öğrenciye Ergenlerde Yetkinlik Beklentisi Ölçeği uygulanmış, yetkinlik inançları düşük olan ve araştırmaya gönüllü olarak katılmak isteyen 20 öğrenci seçilmiştir. Bunlardan 5’er erkek ve 5’er bayandan oluşan deney ve kontrol grupları tesadüfi olarak seçilmiştir. Deney grubuna, 8 haftalık ADDT’ne dayalı grupla psikolojik danışma uygulanmış, bu süreçte kontrol grubuna herhangi bir işlem yapılmamıştır. Verilerin analizinde, kovaryans analizi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular uygulanan ADDT’ne dayalı grupla psikolojik danışmanın, grup üyelerinin akademik, sosyal, duygusal ve toplam yetkinlik inançlarını istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde yükselttiğini göstermiştir. Ayrıca, ADDT’nin Long-Lasting (uzun süreli) etkisinin devam edip etmediğini belirlemek için 1 ay sonra yapılan izleme çalışmasında bu etkinin devam ettiği görülmüştür.
