Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı işyeri zorbalığının çalışanların yaşam doyumu üzerindeki etkisinde umut ve problem çözme becerisinin aracı rolünün incelenmesidir. Bu doğrultuda değişkenler arasındaki ilişkinin belirlenmesi için ilişkisel araştırma modeli kullanılmıştır. Pandemi koşullarından dolayı çalışma grubu, uygun örnekleme yöntemi ile oluşturulmuştur. Araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan online form, çeşitli sosyal medya platformlarında paylaşılarak, kamu da çalışan 415 katılımcıya ulaşılmıştır. Katılımcıların yaş ortalaması 36.28’dir. Araştırmada veriler; araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan demografik bilgi formu, Yaşam Doyumu Ölçeği, İşyeri Zorbalığı Ölçeği, Sürekli Umut Ölçeği ve Problem Çözme Envanteri kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde, betimsel istatistiklerin yanında değişkenler arasındaki ilişkinin saptanması için Pearson Korelasyon Katsayısı, Örtük Değişkenli Aracılı Yapısal Model ve Bootstrap Analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre işyeri zorbalığının çalışanların yaşam doyumu üzerindeki etkisinde umut ve problem çözme becerisinin tam aracılık rolünün istatistiksel olarak anlamlı olduğu görülmektedir. Çalışma bulguları ilgili alanyazın ışığında tartışılmıştır.

INVESTIGATION OF THE MEDIATOR ROLE OF HOPE AND PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS IN THE EFFECT OF WORKPLACE BULLYING ON EMPLOYEES' LIFE SATISFACTION

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the mediating role of hope and problem solving skills in the effect of workplace bullying on the life satisfaction of employees. To this end, the relational survey model was used to determine the relationships between the variables. The study group of the current research was constructed by means of the convenience sampling method because of the pandemic conditions. The online form prepared by the researchers was shared on various social media platforms; thus, a total of 415 participants working in the public were reached. The mean age of the participants is 36.28. The data in the study were collected by using the demographic information form developed by the researchers, the Satisfaction with Life Scale, the Negative Act Questionnaire, the Dispositional Hope Scale and the Problem Solving Inventory. In the analysis of the data, in addition to descriptive statistics, Pearson Correlation Coefficient, Mediated Structural Model with Implicit Variables and Bootstrap Analysis were used to determine the relationship between variables. According to the results of the research, it is seen that the full mediation role of hope and problem solving skills in the effect of workplace bullying on the life satisfaction of employees is statistically significant. The research findings were discussed in light of the relevant literature.
