Evaluation of the Effects of Pesticides on Food Safety and Soil Health*
Abstract
Ensuring access to food for a growing population is crucial and entails significant responsibilities, research, and activities. Considering global warming and climate change, the use of agricultural pesticides has become inevitable. environmental problems and food supply chain have arisen, especially soil health. It is extremely important that pesticides are produced in a manner that is compatible with food safety and soil health. This review synthesizes current evidence on the routes of pesticide entry into food systems, evaluates the health and ecological risks associated with residue exposure, and examines the regulatory and methodological frameworks aimed at their control.
