Abstract
Qur’an makes up the last ring of divine origined holy text tradition. Qur’an confirms the Torah and the Bible which arrived before it and it is a complementary of them. It uses the words which the Torah and the Bible use and turns some of these words into “terms”. The concept “Sa’a(t) is one of them. Having been used in the Old Testament in the meanings of “moment, time, a certain period of time”; the concept began to be used in the meanings of “death moment” and “the moment of the occurance of the doomsday” in the New Testament. And finally with the arrival of Qur’an the meaning of “the moment of the occurance of the doomsday” clearly became more valid than the meanings of “moment, time, 60 minutes”. When the concept of “Sa’a(t)” is based, it is possible to see a process of becoming term in the tradition of divine inspiration. In the article the usage of the related term in the holy texts and the levels of the process of becoming term of the meaning are researched.
