Abstract

With advancements in the healthcare field, people take on different roles in scientific research as patients, researchers, or subjects. However, any intervention directed at human beings, who are considered the Ashraf al-Makhluqat (noblest of creation) brings numerous religious and bioethical issues to the forefront. To identify and address these issues, there is a need for studies that approach them through case-based analyses grounded in the experiences of Muslim scientists and doctors, and that support the establishment of Islamic biomedical research ethics principles. In this study, Dr. Mehrunisha Suleman’s work, Islam and Biomedical Research Ethics, written to address this need and serving as a guide for future studies in terms of both methodology and style, will be examined.

Abstract

Sağlık alanındaki gelişmelerle birlikte, insanlar bilimsel araştırmalarda hasta, araştırmacı veya denek olarak farklı rollerde yer almaktadır. Eşref-i mahlûkât olan insana yönelik, her türlü müdahalede ise dinî ve biyoetik birçok sorun gündeme gelmektedir. Bu sorunların tespiti ve çözümü için bunları, Müslüman bilim insanları ve doktorların tecrübelerine dayalı vaka bazlı incelemelerle ele alan ve İslâmi biyomedikal araştırma etiği prensiplerinin belirlenmesine destek olan çalışmalara ihtiyaç vardır. Bu çalışmada ise Dr. Mehrunisha Suleman’ın, bu ihtiyacı karşılamak amacıyla kaleme aldığı ve hem yöntem hem de üslup açısından, bu ihtiyaca binaen yapılacak diğer çalışmalara rehber niteliğinde olan, İslam ve Biyomedikal Araştırma Etiği (Islam and Biomedical Research Ethics) adlı eseri incelenecektir.

Abstract

تُجرى أبحاث جديدة بفضل المساهمة التقنية في صناعة الرعاية الصحية على مستوى العالم. يشارك الإنسان في هذه الدراسات بأدوار مختلفة، سواء كان ذلك كمريض أو باحث أو موضوع. عندما يتعلق الأمر بالإنسان، الذي وصفه الله تعالى بأنه أشرف المخلوقات وجعله موضوعًا للأوامر الدينية، فإنه من الضروري التصدي للحالات التي قد تُشكِّل مشكلات لالتزاماته الدينية. لذلك، من المهم تحديد مبادئ أخلاقيات البحوث الصحية والطبية التي تهم المجتمعات المسلمة على مستوى عالمي وتقديمها بطريقة عملية يمكن تطبيقها في الواقع. تم كتابة كتاب "الإسلام وأخلاقيات البحوث الطبية" للدكتورة مهرنيشا سليمان بهذا الغرض ونُشر في عام 2021 من قبل دار Routledge. حصلت الدكتورة مهرنيشا سليمان على تعليمها الطبي في جامعة أكسفورد وتخصصت في علوم الصحة العالمية. حاليًا، تعمل كباحثة ما بعد الدكتوراه في مركز دراسات الإسلام بجامعة كامبريدج. يقدم الكتاب، من خلال عملها، مناقشات حول أبعاد النقاشات بين المسلمين حول ما هو متوافق وغير متوافق مع الإسلام في عملية البحث الطبي من منظور اجتماعي غني، على عكس الأدب الأخلاقي الحيوي الحالي. يستهدف الكتاب في المقام الأول الباحثين المشاركين مباشرة في إنتاج وإجراء وتنظيم الدراسات ذات الصلة بالصحة، وخصوصًا المشاركين المسلمين، ولكنه يثير أيضًا اهتمام أي شخص مهتم بالقضايا الأخلاقية في البحوث ذات الصلة بالصحة، سواء كان مسلمًا أم لا. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، يستهوي الكتاب الباحثين في العلوم الاجتماعية والفلسفة وعلم الإنسان، خارج مجالات الأخلاقيات الطبية الحيوية والأخلاقيات الإسلامية والأخلاقيات العالمية.
