Sosyal Bilgiler Dersi Tarihe Yolculuk Ünitesi Bağlamında Dijital Hikâye Kullanımının Öğrenci Akademik Başarı ve Kalıcılığa Etkisi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, sosyal bilgiler dersi “Tarihe Yolculuk” ünitesi bağlamında dijital hikâye kullanımının öğrenci akademik başarısı ve kalıcılığa etkisini belirlemektir. Araştırma yarı deneysel desende tasarlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 2019-2020 eğitim-öğretim yılı birinci döneminde Erzurum ili Oltu ilçe merkezindeki bir devlet okulundaki 49tane 6. Sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Deney grubu ile sosyal bilgiler dersi yedi hafta boyunca araştırmacı tarafından dijital hikâyelerle desteklenerek işlenmiştir. Kontrol grubu ise sosyal bilgiler dersi öğretim programına uygun olarak işlenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; dijital hikâye etkinlikleri öğrenci akademik başarı üzerinde olumlu etkiye sahiptir. Ayrıca, dijital hikâyeler işlenen konunun kalıcılığı üzerinde önemli katkı sağlamaktadır. Eğitimde dijitalleşmenin öneminin arttığı bu dönemde dijital hikâye uygulamaları sosyal bilgiler ve diğer derslerde kullanılabilir.
