Archiving and Data Distribution Policy


The editor provides secure archiving of published material. DEPARCH Journal of Design, Planning and Aesthetics Research sends the published articles to electronic archives on an open access basis without any action by the author(s) and makes them open to full access. The author or funder may upload a copy of the author's accepted article to their archive site. The CC-BY-NC 4.0 Creative Commons license permits reuse with reference to the source of the article (with a full citation) for non-commercial use only. Permission from the Authors must be obtained for commercial use.

DEPARCH undertakes to keep all its articles open access under the CC-BY-NC 4.0 Creative Commons license and to store its full-text content on archive platforms and on the Dergipark website (https://dergipark.org.tr/en/pub/deparch).

Articles published in DEPARCH Journal of Design, Planning and Aesthetics Research are archived digitally in LOCKSS. In addition, the published articles can be accessed by the author in the institutional archive of the university (DSpace, AVESİS etc.), subject archives or any other archive without the embargo period. Thus, anyone can access this publication immediately, free of charge.

The publisher of DEPARCH (e-ISSN: 2822-4175) is pleased to announce its archive policy in line with its policy of promoting the dissemination of research results.

• DEPARCH allows authors to use the final published version of an article (publisher pdf) for self-archiving of an article (author's personal website) and/or archiving in an institutional repository after publication.

• Authors may self-archive their articles in public and/or commercial subject-based archives. There is no embargo period, but the published source should be cited and a link should be set to the Journal homepage or DOI of the articles.

• Authors can download the output of the article as a PDF document. Authors can send copies of the article to their colleagues without any embargo.

• DEPARCH allows all versions of articles (submission version, accepted version, published version) to be stored in an institutional or other archive of the author's choice without embargo.

• DEPARCH uses the LOCKSS system to allow permanent archives to be created. Based on the Stanford University Libraries, the LOCKSS Program provides award-winning, low-cost, open-source digital preservation tools to provide libraries and publishers with access to permanent and authoritative digital content. The LOCKSS Program is a library-led digital preservation system built on the principle of "securing large numbers of copies". The LOCKSS Program develops and supports libraries using open source end-to-end digital preservation software.

Wage Policy
All expenses of DEPARCH are covered by Selcuk University. The publication of articles and the execution of article processes in the journal are free of charge. No processing fee or submission fee is charged for articles submitted to the journal or accepted for publication.
