Subjective Well Being, Psychıatrıc Symptoms and Some Other Characteristic Propertıes among the Students of Guidance and Psychological Counselling

This study aims to find out whether there is a difference among the first and fourth grade students of Guidance 84. Psychological Counseling as well as between them and the students of Natural and Social Sciences with regard to psychiatric symptoms, subjective well being, self esteem and emphatic tendencies .The study illustrates that emphatic tendencies of the first grade students of Communication Faculty and Guidance & Psychological Counseling Department are significantly higher than those of the students of the Engineering Faculty. It is ascertained that the psychiatric symptoms are significantly lower and the emphatic tendencies are significantly higher in the fourth grade Guidance & Psychological Counseling students when compared with the fourth grade students of Engineering Faculty. Also, it is found that the psychiatric symptoms of the first grade students are higher than the fourth grade students of the same department.

Araştırma; Rehberlik ve Psikolojik Danışmanlık Bölümü öğrencilerinin psikiyatrik belirtileri, öznel iyi oluş düzeyleri, benlik saygısı ve empatik eğilimlerinin belirlenmesi, öznel iyi oluş düzeyinin bu değişkenlerle ilişkili olup olmadığının incelenmesi ve bu değişkenler açısından Rehberlik ve Psikolojik Danışmanlık 1. ve 4. sınıf öğrencilerinin birbirleriyle ve sözel ve sayısal ağırlıklı eğitim veren diğer bölümlerle farklılık gösterip göstermediğini ortaya koymak amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın modeli korelasyon ve karşılaştırma türü ilişkisel tarama modelidir. Araştırma sonucunda,,,-1. sınıf düzeyinde PDR Bölümü ve İletişim Fakültesi öğrencilerinin empatik eğitimlerinin Mühendislik Fakültesi öğrencilerinin empatik eğilimlerinden anlamlı düzeyde daha yüksek; 4. sınıf düzeyinde PDR Bölümü öğrencilerinin psikiyatrik belirtilerinin Mühendislik Fakültesi öğrencilerinden anlamlı düzeyde daha düşük ve empatik eğilimlerinin anlamlı düzeyde daha yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. PDR 1. sınıf öğrencilerinin psikiyatrik belirtilerinin PDR 4. sınıf öğrencilerinden anlamlı düzeyde daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir.
