Abstract
Bu makalede, Alman Dışavurum Sanatı'nın öncülerinden Kathe Kollwitz'in, yaşadığı döneme olan duyarlılığı, sanat anlayışı ve eserleri irdelenerek, 1844 Silezya'sında dokuma işçilerinin ayaklanmasını konu alan The End (Son) adlı eserinin analizi yapılacaktır. Sanatçı, dönemin toplumsal olaylarını seriler halinde ürettiği resimleriyle izleyiciye tarihsel bir belge niteliğinde sunmaktadır.
19. yüzyıl Avrupa'sı birçok gelişmeye sahne olmuş ve bu gelişmeler ekseninde sanatı ve sanatçıyı da etkisi altına almıştır. Sanayileşme sürecinde, insan emeğinin sömürüsü ve insana verilen değerin gittikçe azalması birtakım ayaklanmalara, başkaldırılara yol açmıştır. Kollwitz, sanatçı duyarlılığı ile yaşadığı dönemin sorunlarını, olaylarını eserleriyle irdelemiş ve toplumcu fikirleriyle halkın sesi olmuştur.
Abstract
The purpose of this article is to probe Kathe Kollwitz, one of the pioneers of the German Expressionism, her artistic contribution, her sensitivity to the era, and her works and to analyzes her work "The End" which deals with the rebellion of the weavers (textile workers) in Silezia, 1844. The artist presents the social events in her works in a series that can be described as the historical document.
The nineteenth century witnessed many developments and changes in Europe and they had a great impact on the art and artists. During the industrialization stage, the exploitation of the labor and the less value giyen to human beings led to many riots and unrest. Kollwitz became the society's mouthpiece in depicting the problems of her era through her social ideas and works.
