“HÜRREM SULTAN” KARAKTERİNİN KOSTÜM ANALİZİ

Abstract

It is possible that one of the most important factors behind Ottoman regression is the women’s interference in the final judgements of governmental matters. In the theatre play of Orhan Asena, Hürrem Sultan, we witness the collapse of Sultan’s reign because of the murder of Prince Mustafa as a result of Hürrem’s contrivances. During the design period of Hürrem Sultan, one of the most powerful women in Ottoman Empire, the success of the character is connected with the correct choice of fabric as well as the form, line and the color. We can make the audience perceive the character in right way with the form, color and texture analysis which projects and the ferocity, ambition and insidiousness even the snake like aspect of Hürrem’s personality

Orhan Asena’nın Hürrem Sultan Adlı Oyunundaki “Hürrem Sultan”Karakterinin Kostüm Analizi

Abstract

Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’ndaki gerilemenin ardındaki en önemli nedenlerden biri devlet işlerinde verilen kararlarda kadınların söz sahibi olması gösterilebilir. Orhan Asena’nın yazdığı Hürrem Sultan oyununda Hürrem’in tahta geçmek üzere olan Şehzade Mustafa’yı, türlü entrikalar sonucunda öldürtmesiyle birlikte padişahın iktidarının çöküşüne tanık oluruz. Osmanlı’nın en güçlü kadınlarından biri olan Hürrem Sultan’ın oyundaki kostüm tasarımı yapılırken karakterin başarısı, biçim-çizgi ve renkle belirlendiği gibi kumaşın doğru seçimine de bağlıdır. Hürrem’in kişiliğindeki yırtıcılığı, hırsı, sinsiliği verecek, adeta yılan görünümünü hissettirecek biçim, renk ve doku analiziyle seyirciye karakteri doğru algılattırabiliriz
