Hemşirelik Bölümü Öğrencilerinin Mesleki Güdülenme Düzeyi İle Meslek Algısı Arasındaki İlişki

Öz

ÖzGiriş: Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin akademik başarıya ulaşma, mesleğe uyum sağlama ve verimli bir çalışma yaşamı sürdürmelerinde, olumlu güdülenmenin yanı sıra o mesleğe ilişkin olumlu bir algı ve tutuma sahip olmaları mesleğin gelişimi açısından önemlidir. Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı, hemşirelik bölümü öğrencilerinin mesleki güdülenme düzeyinin meslek algısına etkisini belirlemektir. Yöntem: İlişkisel tarama modeli kullanılarak tanımlayıcı nitelikte yapılan bu çalışma bir sağlık yüksekokulunda öğrenim gören 234 hemşirelik öğrencisi ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler; kişisel bilgi formu, Güdülenme Kaynakları ve Sorunları Ölçeği ve Hemşirelik Mesleğini Algılama Ölçeği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesi tanımlayıcı istatistikler, pearson korelasyon ve çoklu regresyon analizi ile yapılmıştır. Bulgular: Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin toplam mesleki güdülenme ve içsel güdülenme düzeyi ortalamanın üzerinde, dışsal güdülenme düzeyi ise yüksek bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin toplam meslek algısı ve mesleki nitelikler ölçek alt boyutuna ilişkin puan ortalamaları yüksek, mesleki statü ölçek puan ortalamaları ise ortalama düzeyin üzerinde belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin mesleki güdülenme düzeyi ile meslek algısı arasında olumlu, anlamlı ve zayıf bir ilişki saptanmıştır. Sonuç: Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin mesleki güdülenmelerinin meslek algısını etkilemede önemli bir faktör olduğu belirlenmiştir.

The Effect of Professional Motivation Level on Perception of Nursing Profession of Nursing Students

AbstractThe Effect of Professional Motivation Level on Perception of Nursing Profession of Nursing StudentsBackground: It is important for nursing students to have a positive perception and hold on the profession as well as positive motivation in achieving academic success, adapting to the profession and maintaining a productive working life. Objectives: The aim of this study is to identify the effect of the professional motivation levels on the perception of nursing profession among the students studying at the department of nursing. Methods: This descriptive study, using the relational screening model, was conducted with 234 nursing students who studied in the School of Health. Data were collected using Personal Information Form, Motivational Resources and Problems Scale and Perception of Nursing Professional Scale. Data were analysed by definitive statistics, pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis. Results: It was identified that the total professional motivation level and intrinsic motivation level are above the average level and that the extrinsic motivation level is high. It was determined that the point averages of the students' professional perception and professional qualifications sub-dimensions are high and that the professional status point averages was found to be higher than average level. A positive, meaningful and weak relationship was identified between the professional motivation level and the perception of profession among the students. Conclusion: As a result of the study, it has been determined that the professional motivation of the students is a significant factor in affecting the perception of profession.
