An Application Very Unspoken In Cancer Patients: Art Therapy

Abstract

Cancer, today maintains its importance due to fatal consequences, illness and quality of life due to drug side effects is one of the major health
problems adversely affected. Art therapy is an important practice among complementary and alternative approaches. Applied arts therapy in
patients with cancer pain, depression, fatigue, anxiety and reduces the quality of life, interpersonal communication, has been found to
increase self-esteem. Integrating our country, in cancer patients with limited applications of working with art therapy activities will be
evaluated and the obtained evidence in nursing practice is required.

Kanserli Hastalarda Çok Konuşulmayan Bir Uygulama: Sanat Terapisi

Abstract

Kanser, günümüzde ölümcül sonuçları nedeniyle önemini koruyan, hastalık süreci ve ilaç yan etkileri nedeniyle yaşam kaliteleri olumsuz etkilenen önemli sağlık sorunlarından birisidir. Sanat terapisi tamamlayıcı ve alternatif yaklaşımlar arasında yer alan önemli bir uygulamadır. Kanserli hastalarda uygulanan sanat terapisinin ağrı, depresyon, yorgunluk, anksiyeteyi azalttığı ve yaşam kalitesini, kişilerarası iletişimi, benlik saygısını arttırdığı bulunmuştur. Ülkemizde kanser hastalarında sınırlı uygulama alanı bulunan sanat terapisinin yapılacak çalışmalarla etkinliği değerlendirilmeli ve elde edilen kanıtlar doğrultusunda hemşirelik uygulamalarına entegre edilmesi gereklidir.
