DETERMINATION OF DEFORMATIONS OCCURED IN UNDERGROUND DRIFT BY TERRESTRIAL LASER SCANNER

Abstract

Determination of the deformations evolved during the excavation is crucial for the economical and safe excavation. The applications of terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) technique in deformation monitoring is getting attention in recent years due to advantages of rapidity, high accuracy and applicability in large areas in a short time. On the other hand the studies involving the evaluation of the data gathering from terrestrial laser scanner for the deformation analysis is still up to date. In this study, deformation of an underground drift was determined by the aid of terrestrial laser scanner measurements. Three different methods; Cloud to cloud, cloud to mesh and cross-section analysis were carried out for the deformation analysis. Then the results of these methods were compared
