Dokuz Eylul University The Journal of Graduate School of Social Sciences is a peer-reviewed journal published at least four times a year.

The journal which started to be published in 1999, aims to publish theoretical and/or empirical articles making original contribution to the area of "social sciences" such as Economics and Administrative Sciences, Law,  Econometrics, Psychology, Sociology, History, Political Science, Gender Studies, and other related areas.

The language of the Journal is Turkish, but, articles in English may also be published.

The journal is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text of the articles in this journal without asking the Publisher’s or the author's permission. 

The journal does not have article processing charges (APCs) or submission charges. 

All articles submitted to the journal should not have been
published or under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Articles submitted are firstly taken into evaluation by editorial board in terms of their original contribution to the field, use of scientific
expressions and compliance with writing rules.

Provided that articles meet the preliminary evaluation requirements, they are sent to three anonymous referees.

Names of both the referees and the author are kept confidential in this process (double blind peer review).

In line with the referee reports, editorial board decides whether to
publish the article or not.

The articles accepted for publication, are being checked for plagiarism by using iThenticate: Plagiarism Detection Software. 

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

a. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.

b. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.

c. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work (See The Effect of Open Access).
