Writing Rules

DİCLE THEOLOGY JOURNAL WRITING RULES
Manuscripts submitted to our journal must comply with the following criteria and spelling rules. Manuscripts that do not comply with these criteria and rules will be rejected directly. Please use the ARTICLE TEMPLATE to organise your article.
Note: Manuscripts submitted to our journal should be organised according to ISNAD 2nd Edition Citation System (https://www.isnadsistemi.org/en/guide/isnad2-2/)

General Rules
1. The arrangement of the article elements should be as follows:
Turkish Title
Abstract
Keywords
English Title
Abstract
Keywords
Arabic Title (for Arabic articles)
Arabic Abstract (for Arabic articles)
Arabic Keywords (for Arabic articles)
Body Text
Conclusion
Bibliography
2. All headings in the article should be in Initial Capital Letters and 11 pt.
3. The article page should be in A4 format.
4. Margins should be 1 cm on all sides on the first page and 2.5 cm on the other pages.
5. If an end-of-page explanation is to be made for the title of the article, the * sign should be used.
6. No sub- and header information should be entered.
7. Page numbers should not be added.

Article Title
The title of the article should be arranged according to ISNAD 2nd Edition Citation System; it should be set as 0 pt from the top, 6 pt from the bottom and without indentation; it should be centre-aligned. It should be in Times New Roman font with a font size of 14 pt.

Headings
Titles should be arranged according to the ISNAD 2nd Edition Citation System; they should be set at 0 pt from the top and bottom, without indentation, and aligned on both sides. Titles should be in Times New Roman font with a font size of 11 pt.

Titles (except Abstract, Abstract, Introduction, Conclusion, and References) should be automatically generated in the decimal system order as "1. 2. 3.; 1.1., 1.2.; 1.2.1." using a number followed by a period. A space should be left between the title number and the first letter of the title.
Only the first letters of the words in the titles should be capitalised. Italics should not be used.

Abstract
It should not exceed 250 words.
It should be written in Times New Roman font with a font size of 11 pt; it should be aligned on both sides; it should be single-spaced and unindented. Spaces should be arranged as 0 pt at the top and 0 pt at the bottom.

Keywords
It should be written in Times New Roman font in 11 point size, aligned on both sides, single-spaced and without indentation. It should consist of at least 5 and at most 8 words.

Abstract
It should not exceed 250 words. It should be written in Times New Roman font with a font size of 11 pt; it should be aligned on both sides, single-spaced and unindented. Spaces should be arranged as 0 nk at the top and 0 nk at the bottom.

Introduction
The body text must have Introduction and Conclusion sections.

Body Text
It should be written in Times New Roman font with a font size of 11 pt, aligned on both sides, and 1.15 line spacing. Spaces should be set as 0 pt from the top and 6 pt from the bottom.

Direct Citation
All direct quotations should be made in accordance with ISNAD 2 https://www.isnadsistemi.org/en/guide/isnad2-2/ Citation System. If the direct quotation is a paragraph or if the author of the article wants to use the direct quotation as a separate paragraph, it should be written in Times New Roman font with a font size of 10 pt; it should be aligned on both sides; it should be single-spaced. The beginning of the paragraph should be unindented, the whole paragraph should be indented 2 cm from the left and right; spaces should be set as 0 pt from the top and 6 pt from the bottom.

Footnotes
Footnotes should be written in Times New Roman font with a font size of 10 pt, aligned on both sides and single-spaced. Spacing should be set as 0 pt from top and bottom. Footnote style should be in accordance with ISNAD 2 https://www.isnadsistemi.org/en/guide/isnad2-2/ Citation System.

Tables and Figures
ISNAD 2 https://www.isnadsistemi.org/en/guide/isnad2-2/ should be organised in accordance with the Citation System. Table content texts should be written in Times New Roman 10 point font size and should be aligned on both sides. Spaces should be arranged as single 0 nk line spacing from top and bottom. Table and Figure captions and references, if any, should be written in Times New Roman font, 11-point font size; aligned on both sides; single line spacing. Spacing should be set as 6 pt from the bottom and 0 pt from the top for Table and Figure captions; 6 pt from the top and bottom for Table and Figure references.
Tables should not extend beyond the writing area (page margins should not be violated), and spacing should be set as 0 pt from the top and 6 pt from the bottom. Tables smaller than the page margins should be left aligned.

Conclusion
There must be a conclusion section.

Bibliography
References should start on the page after the conclusion.
References should be organised according to ISNAD 2nd Edition Citation System https://www.isnadsistemi.org/en/guide/isnad2-2/.
References should be written in Times New Roman font, 11 point size, aligned on both sides and single-spaced.
For each reference, the first line should be indented from the left, and the following lines should be indented 1.25 cm from the left. Spaces for each source should be 6 pt from the top and 6 pt from the bottom.
If more than one work of an author is included in the bibliography, the author's name should be written again for each work.
It is necessary to add DOI numbers, if any, to the articles in the bibliography in accordance with the ISNAD 2nd Edition Citation System.
