FORDİZM’DEN MAKİNE ZEKÂSINA HOLLYWOOD’UN YENİ ÜRETİM BANDI: ALGORİTMALAR

Abstract

Hollywood film endüstrisi, tarihsel süreçte ekonomik, teknolojik ve toplumsal dinamiklerin etkisiyle sürekli yapısal bir dönüşüm geçirmiş; Fordist stüdyo sisteminden Post-Fordist esneküretime ve dijital platformlar çağına uzanan çok katmanlı bir endüstriyel evrim sergilemiştir. Günümüzde ise sinema endüstrisi, yapay zekâ algoritmalarının belirleyici olduğu yeni bir üretim paradigmasına doğru dönüşümsel bir geçiş evresindedir. Çeşitli ekonomik, teknolojik ve toplumsal değişimlerle birlikte farklı üretim ilişkileri ve biçimleri geliştiren Hollywood sinemasında özellikle şekillenen bu yeni modelin, dönüştürücü, derin ve kalıcı etkiler yaratacağı öngörülmektedir. Bu araştırma, Hollywood film endüstrisinde yapay zekâ algoritmalarının mevcut konumunu ve etkisini güncel gelişmeler çerçevesinde analiz etmeyi; üretim süreçlerinde ve iş akışı modellerinde yarattığı yapısal ve fonksiyonel paradigma değişimlerini saptamayı, sinema sanatının teknolojik gelişmelerle olan etkileşiminin dinamiklerini incelemeyi hedeflemektedir. Bu çalışmada, mevcut kaynaklar üzerinden doküman tarama yöntemi kullanılarak nitel araştırma yapılmıştır. Çalışma, Hollywood’un yapay zekâ algoritmalarıyla insan yaratıcılığını sentezlediği yeni bir üretim modeline geçiş yapacağını ortaya koymaktadır. Bu bağlamda, küresel sinema endüstrisinin teknolojik ve üretimsel paradigmasının söz konusu yapay zekâ entegrasyonu ekseninde yapısal bir dönüşüm geçireceği öngörülmektedir.

FROM FORDISM TO MACHINE INTELLIGENCE, HOLLYWOOD’S NEW PRODUCTION LINE: ALGORITHMS

Abstract

The Hollywood film industry has undergone a continuous structural transformation under the influence of economic, technological and social dynamics in the historical process; it has exhibited a multi-layered industrial evolution from the Fordist studio system to Post-Fordist flexible production and the era of digital platforms. Today, the film industry is in a transformational transition phase towards a new production paradigm characterized by artificial intelligence algorithms. It is predicted that this new model, which is especially shaped in Hollywood cinema, which has developed different production relations and forms with various economic, technological and social changes, will have transformative, profound and lasting effects. This research aims to analyze the current position and impact of artificial intelligence algorithms in the Hollywood film industry within the framework of current developments; to identify the structural and functional paradigm shifts in production processes and workflow models, and to examine the dynamics of the interaction of the art of cinema with technological developments. In this study, qualitative research was conducted using the document scanning method through existing sources. The study reveals that Hollywood will transition to a new production model that synthesizes artificial intelligence algorithms and human creativity. In this context, it is predicted that the technological and production paradigm of the global cinema industry will undergo a structural transformation on the axis of artificial intelligence integration.
