The Analysis of the Qur’anic narrative “Ashab al-Sabt” regarding the Method of the Divine Call

Abstract

The Divine call, which means invitation to Islam, implies not only verbal activities but also all physical activities to perpetuate the verbal invitation. Therefore, the responsibility of the call to religion belongs to all believers. A dialogue in verse 164 of Surah al-A’raf on Ashab al-Sabt in the Qur’an emphasizes the extent and the continuity of the divine call. It is possible to reach a principle on the active method of invitation within this verse. So, the approach to the method of invitation should not be result focused but rather focused on process and procedure

DİNE DAVET METODU AÇISINDAN “ASHABU’S-SEBT” KISSASININ TAHLİLİ

Abstract

İslam’a çağrı anlamına gelen davet, sadece sözlü bir faaliyet olmayıp sözlü daveti mümkün ve sürekli kılacak bütün çabaları içermektedir. Bu yüzden davet sorumluluğu tüm inananları kapsamaktadır. Ashabu’sSebt kıssasının anlatımı sırasında Araf suresinin 164. ayetinde yer alan bir diyalog, davetin kapsamını ve sürekliliğini vurgulamaktadır. Söz konusu ayetten hareketle davet metodu konusunda bir ilkeye ulaşmak mümkündür. Buna göre davette sonuç odaklı değil süreç odaklı bir yaklaşım benimsenmelidir
