This study seeks to reveal how the five-hundred-yearold "1001 khatms" tradition, which has been practiced in the city of Erzurum, is perceived by locals and how it contributes to their religious lives. Firstly, the concepts of religion, religiosity, khatim, etc. have been defined, and the relationship between khatm practice and religiosity has been attempted to be established. In the research section, qualitative techniques were employed. The research was carried out with an interpretative paradigm. The research was conducted using an interpretive paradigm. In the study, interviews were conducted using the phenomenology approach, one of the qualitative research approaches During the sampling phase of the study, 15 individuals, including volunteers residing in Erzurum province, were interviewed by phone and in-person for an average of 30 minutes at various times and locations. Using the MAXQDA 2018 software, the acquired data were analyzed. According to the results of the study, the majority of participants believe that 1001 Khatms unites city residents as well as the religious, administrative, and educational staff, and strengthens the spirit of unity and solidarity.
