AWARENESS LEVELS OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHER CANDIDATES AND TEACHERS ABOUT DRAMA TECHNIQUES

Abstract

In order to teach professionally, a teacher must be equipped with all necessarymethods and techniques. In recent years, in many schools and branches and also inforeign language classes the importance of “drama techniques” is emphasized. Inthis study, from the point of what teachers and teacher candidates should know isnot only what the education techniques are, but also the way of effective use of thesetechniques with their functions and importance; their awareness levels about the‘drama techniques’ has been researched. Universe of this survey consists of 67teacher candidates from Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Education Faculty,Foreign Language Education Field and 10 teachers teaching in several schools inIstanbul. Data have been collected through two different questionnaires preparedfor teachers and teacher candidates. Analysis was done on SPSS 15.0 program.Research has been developed in survey method
