our country, asphalt roads used commanly, however here could be asphalt
stability problems due to inappropriate hot mix and wrong applications. First phooe
of the optimum bituminous desingn is the, production under traffic lood, which will
not contain moisture and voids, which has a high workabilty and which is economic.
In this study aim is to determine the optimum bitumen around by marshall test. In
the study 30 asphalt specimen were prepared according to ASTM D 1559. During
the preparation of specimens six different, bitumen percentages are used, and for
each percentage, five specimens were prepared.
As a result, it was determined that if the bitumen percentage increased up to
optimum amount, stability increases, after the optimum point, stability decreases.
Ulkernizde asfalt yollar oldukca yaygm bir sekilde kullarulrnaktadir, Ancak zaman zaman
yetersiz steak kansirn ve yanlrs uygulamalar dolayis.yla asfalt stabilitesinde problemler
yasanabilmektedir. Trafik yOkleri altmda minimum deformasyon yapacak, icerisinde rutubet
ve fazla hava boslugu bulundurmayacak, rahatca islenebilir ve ekonomik bir sicak kansim
olusturmak optimum biturnun belirlenmesinde ilk amactir.
Bu calismada Marshall test cihazi kullarularak bitOm yuzdesinin biturnlu sicak kansrrnm
stabilitesi uzerine etkisi belirlenmeye cahsilrmsnr. Calismada ASTM D 1559'a uygun olarak
toplam 30 adet asfalt numunesi hazirlanrrusnr. Numuneler hazrrlarurken 6 farkh bitOm
yuzdesi esas alinrrus ve her bir bitum yuzdesi icin 5 adet asfa betonu nurnunesi
hazirlanrmsnr.
Sonuc olarak, asfalt betonunda biturn yuzdesi arttikca stabilitenin optimum biturn yuzdesi
seviyesine kadar artugi ancak bu degerden sonra stabilitenin azaldigi gozlernlenmistir.
