DUJOSS, accepts manuscripts that have not been previously published or are not under review by another journal and that have been approved by all authors. The journal uses the intihal.net system to conduct a similarity (plagiarism) check. Manuscripts that pass the plagiarism screening are evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief in terms of originality, methodological adequacy, the importance of the subject addressed, and the relevance to the journal’s scope.
The Editor-in-Chief, evaluates manuscripts impartially, regardless of the authors’ ethnic origin, gender, nationality, religious belief, or political opinion. The publication process is conducted through a fair double-blind peer review system. The Editor-in-Chief assigns each manuscript to a Section Editor who is an expert in the relevant field.
The Section Editor, sends the manuscript to at least two national or international reviewers to initiate the evaluation process. After the authors make the necessary revisions in line with the reviewers’ recommendations, the final publication decision is made by the Section Editor. Acceptance of a manuscript requires at least two positive referee reports.
Reviewers are expected to provide objective evaluations. During the review process, reviewers should consider the following criteria:
* Scientific Novelty and Contribution: Does the manuscript provide new, original, and meaningful contributions to the field?
* Abstract Accuracy: Does the abstract clearly, concisely, and accurately reflect the scope and key findings of the study?
* Clarity and Appropriateness of Methodology: Is the research method clearly, systematically, and comprehensively described? Is the chosen method appropriate for the study’s purpose?
* Validity of Findings: Are the findings supported by the analyses conducted? Are the discussion and conclusions consistent with the results?
* Scope and Relevance of References: Does the study sufficiently include and appropriately cite recent and relevant literature in the field?
* Language and Writing Quality: Is the language clear, fluent, and consistent with academic writing standards?
Reviewers must ensure the confidentiality of all information regarding the manuscripts throughout the evaluation process. The reviewed manuscripts must not be shared with third parties or used for personal purposes under any circumstances.
If a reviewer believes that the subject of the manuscript falls outside their area of expertise or that they will be unable to complete the review within the allotted time, they must promptly inform the editor and withdraw from the review process.
During the review process, the Editor reminds reviewers that submitted manuscripts are the intellectual property of the authors and constitute confidential communication. Reviewers and editorial board members must not discuss the manuscripts with others. The anonymity of reviewers is carefully maintained throughout all stages of the review process.
