İşsizlik Boşanmayı Etkiliyor Mu? Bölgesel Panel Nedensellik

Abstract

Çalışmanın temel amacı Türkiye’de işsizlik ile boşanma arasındaki ilişkiyi analiz etmektir. Türkiye’nin 26 alt bölgesine ait yıllık verilerin kullanıldığı analizde panel birim kök, panel eşbütünleşme ve panel nedensellik testleri yapılmıştır. Analiz sonuçları kısa ve uzun dönemde Türkiye’de işsizlikle boşanma arasında nedenselliğin bulunduğunu ve nedenselliğin ise negatif yönde olduğunu göstermektedir. Bu durum boşanma sonrası çiftlerin karşı karşıya kalacağı maddi ve manevi maliyetlerle açıklanmaktadır. “İşsizlik boşanmayı pozitif yönde etkilemektedir.” hipotezi Türkiye için geçerli değildir

Does Unemployment Effect Separations? Regional Panel Causality

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between unemployment and divorce by using panel causality in the 26 sub-districts of Turkey. In the analysis, the panel unit root test, panel cointegration test and panel causality tests were used. The results of the analysis show that there is a strong causality relationship between unemployment and separation, and the direction of causality is negative. This situation is explained with the economic and social costs of divorce. The hypothesis of “Unemployment has positive impact on divorce.” is not valid for Turkey
