Abstract

The main aim of this study is to investigate which factors are important in the determination of regional public investment policies. For the aim of study, we used panel data set for the time period between 1987-2001at NUTS 3 level to estimate the model. he results of the study show that the factors such as regional population density, the share of industry in total production have negative effects, while the share of agriculture has a positive effect on the determination of regional public investment. On the other hand, the results indicate that political factors and per capita income have no effect on the invetments made in the Turkish regions
