Prof. Dr. Bahri Sahin received his undergraduate degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Gazi University in 1977, his graduate education from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Yıldız Technical University's (YTU) Institute of Science and Technology in 1979 with a TÜBİTAK scholarship, and completed his Ph.D. in the Nuclear Energy Institute Nuclear Technology Program at Istanbul Technical University ITU) in 1985 wıth a TÜBİTAK Honorary Scholarship.
He worked as a research assistant between 1979 and 1983 and as a lecturer between 1983 and 1986 in the Department of Energy Engineering at ITU's Mechanical Engineering Department and served as Assistant Professor in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering between 1986 and 1989 and as an Associate Professor between 1989 and 1995. He has been a Professor since 1995.
Prof. Dr. Bahri Sahin served as Deputy Head of his Department between 1988 and 1999 at Yildiz Technical University, Division Head between 1992 and 2007, Head of the Department between 1999 and 2009, and Founding Dean of Faculty of YTU Naval Architecture and Maritime Department since 2009. He was also elected to the Board of Directors of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization's (UNIDO) International Center for Hydrogen Technology (ICHET) in 2010.
Prof. Dr. Bahri Sahin has conducted many international studies in the fields of thermodynamics, energy production systems, energy technologies, design and optimization of thermal systems, and energy economy. He was elected to the Turkish Academy of Science (TÜBA) as a principal member by the Scientific Board of TUBİTAK through Decision No. 212 on October 6, 2012. Prof. Dr. Bahri Sahin also served as the rector of Yildiz Technical University from 2016 to 2020 and is the current Rector of Istanbul Gelişim University.

In addition, he has authored books and book chapters on retail management, services marketing, and international marketing. He has supervised numerous master’s and doctoral theses and has served as a principal investigator and researcher in various national and international projects.

Onur Özdemir completed his undergraduate education in the Department of Economics at Işık University. He received his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Economics from Kadir Has University. During his graduate studies, he spent two years in Sweden as a researcher. After earning his Ph.D. in 2017, he continued his academic career at Istanbul Gelişim University, where he currently holds the title of Associate Professor. Between 2009 and 2011, he worked as a student assistant in the Department of Economics at Işık University while pursuing his undergraduate studies. During his master’s (2011–2013) and doctoral (2013–2017) education, he served as a research assistant in the Department of Economics at Kadir Has University. During this period, he participated as a researcher in three different TÜBİTAK-funded projects. From 2017 to 2019, Dr. Özdemir served as the Director of the Center for Economic Policy Application and Research at Istanbul Gelişim University. He also served as the Head of the Department of International Trade and Finance between 2017 and 2019 and has continued to hold the same position since 2022. His research interests include income distribution, inequality, heterodox economics, financialization, monetary economics, and macroeconomics. He has published numerous articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals, as well as several book chapters. Dr. Özdemir has been serving as an Associate Editor of the Istanbul Gelisim University Journal of Social Sciences since 2017 and has been the Editor of the Journal of Sustainable Economics and Management Studies since 2022.
Dr. Festus Victor Bekun currently serves as an Associate professor at Istanbul Gelisim University Turkey Istanbul Turkey, and he is also a senior adjunct research fellow at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) and VIZJA University Warsaw Poland. Dr. Bekun has over 347+ refereed scientific publications indexed in WOS and Scopus index top-tier outlet. Dr. Bekun Hi-index over span 77, 68 and 69 in Googlesholar Scopus and WOS index respectively. Afterwards, YURTSEVER completed his doctoral program in 2021 at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Business Administration with the thesis titled "The effects of manipulative techniques used in the mobile phone industry on the consumption habits and behavioral intentions of generation z". He has been working as a Research Assistant between 2018-2021 and as an Assistant Professor as of September 2021 at Istanbul Gelişim University, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Department of Management Information Systems.
I work as the Head of the Library and Documentation Department at Istanbul Gelisim University. I am responsible for all aspects of the library's operation and its relationships with university units, institutions, and publishers. I also work at Istanbul Gelisim University Publications, which publishes numerous academic journals and books each year.

Aslıhan Ünal completed her undergraduate studies in Econometrics at Istanbul University and received her master’s and doctoral degrees in Business Administration from Düzce University. She is currently working as a faculty member in the Department of Business Administration at Istanbul Gelisim University. Her academic interests include leadership, artificial intelligence in business, digital transformation, digital business, and strategic management. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in business management and artificial intelligence in business.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Başak Özarslan is a faculty member at Gelişim University. Her research focuses on energy economics, macroeconomics, and development economics. She has published various academic studies in these fields and has concentrated particularly on issues related to energy and development policies within the broader context of contemporary economic challenges.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Fatih KILIÇ
Asst. Prof. Dr. Fatih Kılıç is an academic and technical specialist specializing in aviation management, international relations, defense strategies, and regional security.
He completed his associate degrees in Machine and Metal Technologies at Kırıkkale University (1996) and Electrical and Air Condition Technology at the National Defense University Air NCO Higher Vocational School (1998). He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations from Anadolu University in 2014. He subsequently received his Master’s degree (2017) and Ph.D. (2024) in Political Science and International Relations from Necmettin Erbakan University. His master's thesis focused on "Sino-Indian Rivalry for Regional Dominance in the Indian Ocean", and his doctoral dissertation examined the "Struggle for Hydro-Hegemony in Transboundary River Basins: The Case of the Brahmaputra River Basin". He is also pursuing a second Ph.D. in Business Administration at Istanbul Gelisim University.
Dr. Kılıç began his career in the Turkish Air Force, serving from 1999 to 2023 as an F-16 and AEW E-7T (Boeing 737-700 IGW) Air Conditioning and Electrical Technician, B1 Mechanical System Technical Instructor, and Aircraft Maintenance Planning Specialist. During this period, he participated in the "Peace Eagle" project training with Boeing in the United States and served as a Virtual Research Assistant at the NATO Centre of Excellence Defence Against Terrorism (2019–2021) and a Media Producer for the NATO Mission Iraq (2019–2020). For his service, he was awarded the Non-Article 5 NATO Medal and the NCO Vecihi Hürkuş Honor Award.
Since September 2024, Dr. Kılıç has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aviation Management and Political Science and International Relations at Istanbul Gelisim University. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses including Aviation Safety Management, Crisis and Risk Management in Aviation, Aircraft General Knowledge, Aviation Rules and Regulations, and Air Logistics. He has authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed international and national journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings, and is fluent in English.
Gümüş studied Public Relations at Istanbul Bilgi University under the chairmanship of Betül Mardin on a full scholarship. She completed her master's degree at Istanbul University in the Public Relations programme, writing her master's thesis on “Public Relations and the Panopticon”. He completed his doctorate at Istanbul Commerce University in the Public Relations and Advertising programme, writing his thesis entitled “The Role of Creative Cultural Industries in Nation Branding in the Context of Digital Diplomacy: The Case of Netflix Turkey”. The concepts of “Digital Cultural Diplomacy” and “Netflix Diplomacy” were introduced to the literature within the framework of his doctoral thesis. In this context, he was invited by Prof. Dr. Rhonda Zaharna to participate in the panel titled “Emerging Researchers in Public Diplomacy” at the 72nd ICA-Post Conferences: Emerging Researchers in Public Diplomacy, organised by the International Communication Association at the Paris INALCO Institute in May 2022.

Üyesi olarak görev yaptım. Asst. Prof. Dr. Süreyya İMRE BIYIKLI is an academic specializing in econometrics and time series analysis. She completed her undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral studies in econometrics. Her academic research primarily focuses on econometrics, time series analysis, panel data methods, and machine learning algorithms.
