In the article titled “Cite this article: Yıldırım, M., & Şimşek, U. (2024). Social studies teachers’ extent of using out-of-school teaching environments for their lessons. Educational Academic Research, 53, 166-177. DOI: 10.33418/education.1415068”, published in Educational Academic Research, Issue 53 (2024), the conflict of interest statement was incomplete.
At the time of submission and evaluation, the author Ufuk Şimşek was serving as a faculty dean and journal owner. This information was not adequately disclosed in the original publication.

Corrected Conflict of Interest Statement:
The author of this article, Ufuk Şimşek, was also serving as a faculty dean and journal owner of the journal at the time of submission. This situation constitutes a potential conflict of interest. In order to ensure an impartial and transparent peer-review process, the peer-review and publication decision for this manuscript were handled by a guest editor appointed by the Atatürk University Scientific Journals Coordination Office. A double-blind peer-review process was applied, and the author’s editorial role was not disclosed to the reviewers. All stages of the evaluation process were conducted in accordance with the journal’s ethical policies and international ethical guidelines, including those of COPE and ICMJE.
The journal apologizes to its readers for this oversight.
