Economic & Financial Analysis Letters

Economic & Financial Analysis Letters (EFL) is a peer-reviewed national and international scholarly journal published by the Faculty of Political Sciences at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. The journal brings original theoretical and empirical research in economics, finance, public finance, and related disciplines to the academic community.

EFL is a letter-format journal. Instead of long and comprehensive reviews, it publishes short studies that focus on a single clearly defined research question, state their contribution plainly, and present their findings directly. This format allows current economic and financial debates to reach the academic literature quickly.

The journal publishes work built on scientific method, analytical consistency, and methodological rigour. Priority is given to research that establishes a strong link between theoretical framework and empirical analysis, and that serves as a reference for academics, researchers, and policymakers.

Language policy. EFL accepts articles in English and Turkish. Whatever the language of the main text, every article must provide its title, abstract, and keywords in both languages. This dual structure allows the journal to contribute to the national academic literature and to gain visibility within international scholarly networks. The language policy is a strategic choice intended to widen the journal's scientific reach and to build a bridge between different academic communities.

The journal is published in digital form only and issues at least two numbers per year. Special issues may be published when appropriate. No submission or publication fee is charged to authors. All published work is made openly available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) licence.

Institutional structure. The academic and administrative processes of the journal are conducted by the Editor-in-Chief, the Editorial Board, the Advisory Board, and other relevant boards. Editorial appointments are based on defined academic qualification criteria, and the scholarly quality of the journal is institutionally secured. EFL aims to be indexed in national and international academic databases, to increase citation visibility, and over the long term to become a high-impact reference journal.
